Seeing Run, Lola, Run image as the banner reminded me of another film that played boldly with time. Released 3 years before, Nick of Time is a movie I’ve enjoyed watching and recommending for years.

Run Lola Run will forever be a favourite. The soundtrack alone! With the sub setup I have now it’s a house-shaker and perfect to have on in the background while doing other things.

Franka Potente deserved a bigger career after Run Lola Run. A shame.

I’m gonna plug the run on the 2nd Death Star in Return of the Jedi. Rebel fighters tearing across the unfinished surface, around cranes and towers and then into the superstructure; multiple camera angles, fast.  Holds up incredibly well for 1983.

Scientists of his time had developed complicated and quite appealing theories about all the different things that could cause disease following childbirth, whereas Semmelweis insisted that it was virtually ALL the result

Not sure on the timeline with variolation there. For a start, Mather didn’t ignore Onesimus - he researched the matter, consulted with other slaves, read articles on the topic, was convinced, and then led the drive to combat the 1721 smallpox epidemic with variolation - his campaign, and the provable results that came

So can this be uncoupled from the car and handed to any passenger position to control the car? If so, I could see its utility.

Finding a Friend for the End of the World.

Now I absolutely believe people would keep going back to that island, and reader: I hate it.

The pandemic has ruined Jurassic Park? I think you were just looking for movies to fill your slideshow with and thought of any excuse you could use with that one...
