But car-makers don’t produce petrol either. There is a separate industry for that side of things.

The EV manufacturers need to get a Standard for plugs etc sorted asap. All these different locations, charging company specifics, accounts... really needs to get straightened out. I can get any (ICE) car, go to any fuel station, and the nozzle will fit in the easily-findable hole. Standards!
Umm, natural gas is a fossil fuel, so there IS a limited supply (unless you add in land-fill gas and other such sources). It might not run out this century, but it will eventually.
I saw it at a film festival, and heard the guy next to me say to his friend “I glad I’m baked; this would be no good otherwise”.
Voices of a Distant Star is possibly the most emotive film I’ve ever seen. I saw it at a film festival (sub-titled IIRC) and I sat, stunned, through the whole credits. I don’t speak/read Japanese.
“Full-frame” and “Cropped” have nothing to do with the number of pixels; they describe (loosely) the physical size of the camera sensor, and so, for two cameras with the same number of pixels, the pixels in the FF will be larger. OR there are more pixels. Either way, the sensor is physically larger, so can receive…
It was badly worded, but the general idea is that more light can enter each “pixel” on the sensor, because they are larger.
Back in the day, I came up with a way to put all of the functionality of a PS2 Dualshock controller into a 1-handed unit (I’m disabled, so it was a self-serving concept). Actually building it was beyond my capabilities, but now with 3D printing and whatnot, I should look into it again.
We’re talking about “this solar system”, not “the centre of your universe”.
It’s one of the many problems with written English; we don’t have enough letters to cover all the different sounds (maybe we need accents, like the French...?).
“incompetent politicians”
I’m failing to understand this obsession with set-top-boxes. My TV (Samsung 2012 40" LED) has (digital UHF) OTA tuning and DVR built in; I just needed to add an external hard-drive. Only some broadcasts are HD & surround sound, but it’s mostly good enough.
It’s winter and film festival time at my end of the planet. In the last 3(ish) weeks, I’ve been to 20 films (OK, some were documentaries, some were short-film groups...) on the big screen.
They seem to re-invent/re-visit this design every 10 years or so:
I like Lego a bit more than Joe Average, but seeing your set-up...
Ugh, baggage carousels. I try to avoid having checked baggage.
Because I sleep when I fly (motion-sickness pill = snooze), I ask for and normally get a window seat (so my snooze doesn’t block others).
I once suggested (on another discussion of this subject) that we call the thin ones “minus sized”.
It’s a bit ridiculous, really: there is a large (no pun intended) proportion of the population saying to fashion houses “we want to give you money, if only you would make your clothes to fit us”, and the fashion houses are all “nah, we’re good, we don’t want more money...”.
I’m a guy, and I saw it in the theatre. The only other patrons were a woman towing half-a-dozen pre-teen girls.
