The Amy March-Emily Dickinson teamup that we now so obviously need

Sorry, but there is nothing worse than a “hard core trekkie.” AKA, “never satisfied”.

I’m thinking this anomaly could be a life-form or something controlled by someone. It’s course change seems like a reaction to the stimulus of Discovery’s investigation. This is a fascinating mystery to figure out as the season unfolds.

Geez, this reviewer needs to take a toke of some Delta 8 and go with the flow. This is just Star Trek, after all. As a Trekkie since the original series first aired in the sixties, I find Discovery both moving and exciting. I can’t ask for much more than that...

Thanks. Guess I’ll just have to re-visit the episode and see for myself. And kudos to Issa Rae for putting her own character in situations that don’t cast her as the smartest, wisest, most together person in the room. Her ensemble work really is outstanding.

This isn’t how the Trill worked, and while there is certainly precedence for resurrection in the franchise (hell, in this show even), it’s not nearly as charming as the writers seem to think it is.

Calling a Star Trek lead a ‘Mary Sue’ is the same as remarking the sky is blue.

The word you’re looking for is protagonist.

I dunno, I don’t entirely agree with this sentiment. Like, I totally get a lot of the frustration about this show (believe me) - but personally I think a lot of the difficulty stems from the fact that both the cultural and television landscape have changed a lot even just since the heydays of TNG-DS9-VOY in the 90s.

I really hope Crenshawn just stays part of Issa’s professional life storyline and doesn’t become a potential romance, because he’s really shown himself to be one of the most childish guys in the series. He was right about his vision for the show, but instead of actually standing up to Issa and defending his plan, he

Guess I’ll be the dissenting voice. Nathan is one of the best characters on the show and I look forward to seeing him fleshed out more.

I think it’s funny as heck — and it’s the only impression I’ve seen that shows the truth about Trump: he doesn’t give a crap about what he’s talking about.

there’s a lot of criticism/ridicule aimed at Kristen Stewart across these sites. they haven’t gotten over Twilight, apparently.

Saw it a couple of weeks ago and disagree with almost everything in this review.

Interesting take, and one that seems pretty at odds with what many others are saying. I guess I’ll have to make my own decision about things, but it looks great from where I’m standing.

I didn’t think The Old Guard was a drag at all. I thought it was a blast.

what a great photo of her!

I love the Wachowskis. I think the two sequels to The Matrix are fantastic—especially Reloaded, which is maybe my favorite of the series so far. I totally get not wanting to jump back into that world, but who knows? I’m sure Lana has a great take, and knowing what I do from a small in with someone working on the film,

Id absolutely love that.  Those assholes always work backwards to forget the creators of the Matrix are trans.

Work in Progress is amazing, so happy it got renewed. Not sure if anyone watches it, but the scene with them trying to have sex in the dark but their phones keep lighting up the room when they’d get a text had me actually laughing out loud.
