The Last Man on Earth? Sadly, it never got the closure I was hoping for due to its sudden cancellation, but it became pretty obvious that the title was inaccurate when Todd showed up (in the fifth episode of the first season)...and then Phil...and then...well, you get the point.

Eternally?

Is Jimmy Gunnbergo still available?

“You should give up your dream job because someone else is being an asshole”.

Kathleen Turner gave an interview this week where she says something very similar to what the people are saying here about how people acting the same are described differently because of their gender:

This post reminded me of this gem lol

That’s how journalism works, ding-dong. D’Anastasio puts her own name and reputation on the line, as do her publishers (Kinja), as the collateral for a story's veracity. If their unnamed sources don't have the position/background as described (or don't exist at all, as happens in some cases), their careers are over.

Find me some men who work for a salon but are systematically discouraged, belittled and harassed by the salon’s female leadership and constantly having their own nail beautician cred questioned by interviewers and superiors (just a “fake nail boi,” all the jock nail women say) and sure, someone will run that. Probably

Why? So you can attack them?

That doesn’t even make sense. If you go on record in an article slamming your employer, whether you’re right or wrong, other employers won’t want to hire you. This is especially true in the very small and insular games industry. It makes perfect sense that someone speaking up about the sexism at Riot wouldn’t want to

“One day, Lacy conducted an experiment: After an idea she really believed in fell flat during a meeting, she asked a male colleague to present the same idea to the same group of people days later. He was skeptical, but she insisted that he give it a shot. “Lo and behold, the week after that, [he] went in, presented

Throughout her three years at Riot Games, the company behind League of Legends, Lacy made it her mission to hire a woman into a leadership role.

Fan-Fucking-Tastic article, Cecilia. Serious props for the investigative journalism on display here!

I really feel like this is one of those Kotaku-defining articles, along with the deep stuff that Jason puts out.

That is fucking infuriating. Especially if Lacy / co-workers were programmers. As a computer scientist, I consider logic to be king - above emotion, above politics, and certainly above the gender of the logician.

If these people were computer scientists, they should be doubly ashamed. To spend days and years

I am giving you a star for using “couldn’t care less” properly. It drives me up the wall when people say “I could care less” when they mean “I couldn’t care less”. That, and this obsession with using mathematical terms incorrectly, like saying something is “25 times less than Y” or is “25 times smaller than Y”.

I find it amusing that if I take my mining laser to a tiny rock for two ferrite dust I have their full attention, but if I use my terrain manipulator to scoop out hauls of copper from the ground, leaving open chasms in my wake, they couldn’t care less.

I think Barstool being at fault for someones death is a headline we see in the next 5-10 months.

I have literally called them the “N.E.S.” and the “S.N.E.S.” my entire life. It boggles my mind that you’d call them anything else.

When did you join Depeche Mode?! Burn!
