I thought that was how he bought all his clapped out vintage Jeeps.

I keep coming back to this post. The more I look at that thing, and the more I think of that price, the more tempted I am to cash in some miles, fly out and take this thing. I spent more than this having springs, brakes and a strut mount fixed om my wife’s 2008 S60 - yesterday. $2,200 for a for real Grand Wagoneer?…
Now THIS is a NP all day long.
“This burnout is delicious.” That, indeed, it was.
I totally get your point. Yes, this is better than the crusher.
This is the thing when you engine swap and heavily modify very desirable classics (or even that 914 from a few weeks back), they cease to be the original desirable classic. Then they transition into trying to be as good as much newer used cars that are safer, more comfortable, more reliable and won’t confuse the heck…
Wow, I totally forgot that car was even a thing. My wife even had one when we were dating, yet somehow, I had managed to scrub all but the very essence of a memory. Ten minutes ago, if you had just said “Buick Somerset” to me, I would have been totally clueless, despite the fact I had driven one for almost 2 years. No…
OEM parts. Whether I put them on, or I pay someone. No aftermarket unless there it is BOSCH or similar well-known and respected brand. Particularly with coolant hoses, gaskets and fuel or brake system. That is it, and that is all. Life is too short for crap like that ball joint in the video.
That’s just the thing. This HAS to be a driver, because it is no longer a Porsche and does not carry that value. At $23500, there are WAY BETTER drivers out there, to say the least.
The title was enough for me. CP.
I am in ownership year 6 of a car that came in similar shape and was had for the same price. It finally runs great, but oh, man, the $ I have dumped in (up to $14,000 at last count)..... This one is even older...
Love this car. Have loved these since before they were cool. But not for that price. For that money, this would need to be collector condition and original. This is not that car.
This guy deserves a gold-plated Jalop Card.
Oh hell yes. I would make a pillow fort and sleep in that magnificent interior.
God, I can smell that thing right through the intertubes.
No. Get the 944.
I think it is safe now, you can go ahead and get rid of those. Time-travel car-repair never became a thing.
But these inline-sixes that have had their oil changed at least once in a blue moon
Yeah, looks bad. Don’t do that.
I believe you, you have given it too much thought for that not to be a premeditated plan.
