Yeah Ford not being nominated for either show is surprising/disappointing because he’s definitely just as good on either of them as he’s ever been in anything. I’m hoping he’ll at least get a SAG nom this year. And the Globes are notoriously prone to nominating big A-listers too so it’s very strange he couldn’t get

The movie was good but we don’t have to milk it. Let’s just let it be a cult favorite and move on.

Take it to the Limit is great but I really love Try and Love Again. One of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. RIP man.

I only have one of those and it’s not the money part :(

What really irked me this year was the pure venom and negativity given to Indy 5 many months before the film was released. People purposefully trying to destroy the movie before they’ve even seen it. And then the early Cannes reviews came out which weren’t great but I saw so many videos on Youtube already declaring

Barbenheimer has saved cinema! There’s no reason to suspect the movie business will have anything to worry about ever again. Should be smooth sailing from here on out.

They should have stopped touring after Glenn Frey died out of respect.

This is but another reminder that life is ephemeral and everything is pointless. Hope everybody is having a great day!

It’s definitely one of the most fascinating shows with one of the most fascinating lead characters I’ve seen in some time. The cinematography is so grainy and exquisite.

Point taken.

Does anyone think the name Pershing came from mashing together Peter Cushing or has someone already made that connection?

Yeah but they weren’t nominated for the things that they probably really wanted to, that being acting and directing.

Maybe people really love Pedro Pascal and the Oscars were able to take advantage of that having him present while The Last of Us was also on.

Was anybody else very underwhelmed by this movie? Like it was technically very accomplished and Cate Blanchett was great but the story just went nowhere and I had no strong feeling about it one way or the other when it was over.

You really hit on the head exactly how I feel about the whole thing. I got married in 2018 and had my first daughter in 2020 and movies, particularly these movies, have really taken a back seat since then. You just don’t have the time (or the money) that you used to have to care about all these characters and make

Harrison Ford never ceases to amaze me. His part about nature and God gave me a really good laugh.

Wouldn’t it be the Yellowstone Televisionist Universe?

Is the implied idea from her that Asian people don’t count as people of color because they obviously did great with the Oscars this year? Is she not grateful other people of color, especially women of color, are getting attention but her only concern is if it’s specifically black women that are nominated and other

I still haven’t seen Yellowstone but I think both 1883 and 1923 work as well as they do because they’re both conceived as limited stories. The thing I keep reading about Yellowstone is how repetitive the plotlines are and how the story doesn’t really evolve.

That’s funny. I always thought of Kurt Russell as a sort of B movie Harrison Ford. Not as a less skilled actor necessarily but in the sense that Ford’s films generally made a lot more money than Russell’s films in their primes in the 80s and 90s.
