“Like those shoes.” :)

I like Hans Zimmer but I feel like he’s accomplished all he’s going to in the superhero genre. Hope they keep JunkieXL around, though.

Best part is when he’s caught by Lex’s assistant and does his best drunken Affleck impersonation. That shit was hilarious and totally what Bruce Wayne would do.

I would love to see a Batman movie called “Batman: Detective Stories” and it could just be several smaller stories about Batman investigating and chasing down criminals, maybe with a central theme or possibly even a central villain tying them all together.

Guys I think I need help, I saw Batman V. Superman over the weekend and I didn’t.......... hate it...

Lego Batman is the hero we need, Batfleck is the hero we deserve.

“...and I felt like this film actively hated me.”

But there are movies and other forms of art that touch on all of those things in much more compelling fashion, and again, it still all boils down to “Good guys vs bad guys” when you get right down to it.

I feel like people are watching these movies for all the wrong reasons. Like, turn off your fucking brain and enjoy the superhuman slugfest for what it is, and then turn your brain back on afterwards.

I do wonder if this review is more just a reflection of the binary society we’ve grown into. Things are either OMG THE BEST EVER or Complete and total dumpster fire. There is rarely in between. I wasn’t going into this expecting the greatest cinematic experience of mine or anybody else’s life. Is it enjoyable? Can I

It’s like if Frank Quitely and Frank Miller collaborated. I can’t decide if I love it or hate it.

I’ll take something like this, thanks.

“In 1992, Bob Newhart was a comedy god.”

Counterpoint: Stallone was excellent in Creed. He was one of strongest parts of a movie that had many strong parts.

You had me until you said sly was weak in ‘creed’

The last two pages of this issue were so damn good.

It’s almost as if the entire Star Wars series is based on traditional story tropes and archetypes that are hundreds if not thousands of years old. Who would have thought!

Yeah, I remember from my old DK batman guide he gave the Tim Drake Robin a collar to prevent someone like killer croc from wringing his neck. Here’s the pic:

If you’re going to fight someone with the strength of a god, extra neck protection would be one of many priorities.
