It’s the old cartridge and razor tactic. The razor is cheap but the cartridges are where the company makes its money.

It’s most third parties now. EA had Dead Space 50% off within 6 months, Sega had new Sonic at 40% off within two months, Ubi is notorious for being 50% within 3 months, Capcom within 4 months is 30% off.

Playing the demo I kinda like the art style in motion. The hair is ugly though. And I don’t understand why every fucking Indie-esque game is doing Hades voices (that weird breathy/raspy mumbling thing) including PoP.

Ubi, EA, CAPCOM, Sega. All four are never worth buying day one. The games will go on sale with 4 months (25-30%) and within 6 months (40-50%).

I mean it isn’t surprising at all. The ubiquity and perception change of GamePass has altered the way the market thinks about subscriptions and ownership.

That makes sense. Just really enjoyed her performance in the show overall. Georgie was always fine but I was not a big fan when episodes focused on him.

You have to remember physical sales for nintendo games are insanely high. I also remember Ampere having analysis that said a lot of japanese gamers get a lot of engagement from PS Plus.

Any time a comedian blames his audience it is his fault for not reading the room.

You probably don’t get messages or phone calls or emails then. Because everytime I use Remote Play and get a call I lose my connection and have to restart the app.

I will say the backgrounds were sterile and forgettable which is weird since Metroid usually does background imagery well.

Honestly I'm more surprised Missy isn't getting the spin-off treatment became a low key MVP of the show.

I always look at Ghost of Tsushima as the proof of this.

Your example is incorrect because TLOU 2 is more about love than the Last of Us 1. It is about how often love and hate go hand in hand (Ellie and Joel). How difficult it is to truly love and be loved (Abby, Yara and Lev).

My controversial opinion. Sex in games is still really poorly handled. It focuses so much on absurdity and comedy rather than actual intimacy. An area where games are still juvenile.

They've already said they're working on new IP. In this age where everyone complains about remakes and remasters I don't see why BB is treated as an exception.

Exactly. Announce shit when you have real gameplay and a real expectation of hitting the release date. Pressuring Devs will just lead to rushed games and crunch.

I think we’re going to see it more often in fact. The RE games are on every sale and always at big discounts so those sales must’ve finally tapered off and Capcom might as well put it on the sub service and make some money.

I’m the rare person who thinks Yauza is better when you’re not interacting with the side missions. The stories themselves are fun most of the time and sometimes even enter good territory but the side missions are so dull and the dialogue is poor and they always end up with the same structure (go to place, beat person

I went from loving the franchise to despising it playing them so much. I really do think it became too much with so many releases (three in the last year for is insane). I’ve bounced off the last 4 or so. I Just need a break but every break you take adds another game and each one is 50-80 hours minimum.

Journalists aren’t unbiased. Every review or preview carries with it the hype or hate towards a game that comes from the marketing. They are better trying to not let it affect them but it is still there.
