Not really. Last year one their biggest earnings drops was the live service games including FFXIV. It's why they're praying that it does well on Xbox this year.

I think with most Nintendo/Japanese games the lack of VA really hurts them and Nintendo games are especially bad at this where they explain a simple concept for 10 text screens.

I used to be a heavy PC gamer but the PS4 changed that for me. It is not only more convenient, but I just found it a lot more immersive. I didn’t have to fiddle with settings or wait for DF to tell me if my PC will break.

I forgot about Bard

I love these memes. They're so funny. Probably beats my previous meme of 2023 which is men watching Master and Commander

This cannot be surprising though since they're the company pushing AI the most. Right now people are challenging them but how long will it be till our minds no longer see the difference or worst, young minds no longer understand the difference.

Hire someone or learn how to draw. The stardew valley Dev learned how to draw all those sprites. All great things take hardwork. The problem with AI is it still requires human oversight and looks generic even if it didn't have the usual AI art flaws.

Xbox are the good guys this gen. One of their strongest pushes in doing that has been it’s very front facing indie support initiative.

I mean you cannot be surprised when a Microsoft company is using it since they're the ones with the biggest reason to normalise it.

I mean I hate to break it to ya but if you own any MS product you support AI. They've been open about how they intend to use it.

I just don’t think people care much for opinion pieces on games anymore. They’d rather watch an 8 hour YT video like it’s a podcast for the analysis/opinion stuff.

I'm low-key excited for it but I've also read some previews say it is very safe in what they played. With how many Metroidvanias exist I am hoping for a little more from this.

May pay 10 bucks and upgrade TLOU2 since I haven’t played the game since launch. Loved it but I do feel it’s worth revisiting and checking if it holds up.

I still can't believe that movie exists. What a mess.

I get it. The problem is American media, politicians and Israeli PAC money has done a good job of selling the “if you don’t support Israel, you’re a Nazi/anti-Semite” story.

I don’t know where I read it but there was talk years ago that CoD was directly funded by the US military at least partially. So I never found the propaganda too surprising. Always upsetting though.

GT7 especially with VR and SOPHY needs an 18th spot. RETURNAL is my game of the generation (and I detest roguelikes) so far so worry not, you are not alone! The combat and movement is just best in class stuff!

The two games that truly wowed me this year were HUMANITY and God of War Ragnarok Valhalla.

That’s good to know but I have a feeling it will be a VERY long time before I have to think about it. The game is so big and I’m still in the opening area!

I played P5R two years back. I thought it was fine, great presentation in a dull as heck story with even duller/trope characters. It was also 30 hours too long. I also find that SEGA really went too long milking the 5 series with diminishing returns. Except for Strikers none of the others really stood out as anything
