BG3 is mega AAA. Not many studios can have 400+ people (in-house) work on a game.

More complex designs doesn’t necessarily mean better. This honestly looks quite ugly especially the black variant.

People: I don’t want spoilers in trailers

I’ve played Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout NV (Obsidian I know but same engine), Fallout 4 (with all DLCs). I loved most of those games. I’ve replayed them multiple times over the years.

Because every critic said it gets good after 30-40 hours. I try my best to complete every game I buy. Some like Death Stranding DO get good after the initial 10 hours. Same for the Horizon games and RDR2.

That it just isn’t worth 56USD let alone 70USD. Having played it for 45 hours, the game just never felt engaging. I will spend 60 USD on a 11 hour Mario game or 70 on a 30 hour Spider-Man game and not regret it because they’re consistently engaging despite their small flaws.

I don’t get it either. Even Starfield’s own reddit seems to consider it as a 7/10 at best. I genuinely don’t get the mainstream critical acclaim for the game.

Starfield still too expensive. I would recommend it at 40-45usd in its current state.

When I think of the PS4 I just remember the disk trading YouTube ad with the execs. That was a suplex Xbox just couldn't bounce back from until GamePass and insane acquisitions.

The Nintendo Switch is a decent handheld with some very good games but it is definitely supplemental to a real console or PC.

I agree. The show is generally fun to watch with dinner. Don’t give it your full attention and just leave it on. Most of the family actually became more interesting than Sheldon and the mother.

Pentiment is excellent. Maybe the only good Microsoft game I've played in the last 4-5 years. That story was incredible

I really would be shifted RE4 for SF6. Either way Capcom gets a Nom.

Street Fighter 6 would've been a better choice critically speaking. FFXVI is still divisive (though I really enjoyed it.)

I’ve not played BG3 but I do disagree with most of the GOTY nominees:

But which games actually did anything new this year? All the GOTY nominees are safe but extremely well made games. Even in the indie side, there hasn’t been an incredible, super unique, game changing game.

Completely unknown? It was in actual newspapers, Victims were on talk shows. It may not have been earth shattering but it was BIG.

Because it is a jury trial. So they’re literally trying to sow the seeds of doubt for whatever Google says in Court.

I really wanted to like this game and I really liked the characters and art and VA work but it was just really boring mechanically. The first two areas are fun, but the last two are dull as heck. I do appreciate it because it did lead me to more interesting Rogue-likes such as Returnal, Dead Cells and Issac.

Or I don’t want to see my phone and the dozen texts and calls I get from work while playing my games.
