The concept of watching people react to watching a thing is crazy to me. I never got it for games or tv shows but for youtube drama? I feel old.

Seriously the anti console exclusive crowd is crazy. Exclusives are the last true bastion of good single player experiences with polish. Every third party company had moved to online games and mtx with only indies and AAA exclusives keeping gaming moving forward.

I honestly would not care if they announced that players who have the game can pay 10-15 bucks for the upgrade but 30 is too much especially for people who bought the game and had to put up with some of the worst performance issues in the last few years.

I don’t think anyone is surprised it isn’t ready. even if it was ready This year, it would have to compete with Cyberpunk which I think no developer would like to do.

Finally this list looks good now. I would remove Witcher 3 and put Gravity Rush 2 but that is a very niche and personal choice

I always felt EA wanted this game to not be successful and sell the idea that SP games don’t make money. It is definitely on the overrated side of the scale and a good rent or heavy sale game but people were really starved for SW game content and overlooked a lot of flaws.

One of those problems where devs emulate soulsborne design without questioning if it fits in a gameplay perspective. Control is another terrible one.

Yeah I remember being a huge fan of TR2013 but couldn’t get ROTR till it was on PS4 by then I couldn’t have cared less for the game.

Exactly. all the people on the internet assuming they know the deals that goes on behind the scenes are weird. It sucks for other platforms but it feels like the game rights were eased to be more in Sony’s favor.

Kiryu doesn’t age. Look at Snake and Big Boss from MGS. They actually age throughout the series, Kiryu does not. Kiryu is safe from a design standpoint, he doesn’t look realistic. He looks video game-y. Jin looks very normal by comparison.

I daresay we got too many Souls-like games and metroidvania’s this gen.
