I use DD-WRT to tunnel using SSH SOCKS, and I never bother with proxy servers. I just need to have my router on all the time (which it would be anyway). I haven't ever had a problem with websites not being able to load with this setup.

Suddenly Samus doesn't seem nearly as badass anymore (unfortunately).

And how many phat PS3s are still under warranty? Not that many.

He was probably joking.

@TOCATL: Something like Steam, through which game come with no manuals or even a disk, and requires only minimal bandwidth and electricity to deliver content? Yeah, games are totally 1/4 of the price on Steam.

I buy everything in stores except computer hardware (Newegg ftw), digital goods (software/games), and books (Amazon).

If it costs $7 for platform royalties, why is Modern Warfare 2 on the PC (Steamworks is free, provided you have a game Valve is interested in) still $60? Why are distribution and return fees factored into digitally distributed games that are $60?

Sound familiar? "Halo 3 is the last game in the trilogy. We may return to Halo one day."

@oneshot719: That's been proven to be a software "problem." Gizmodo continues to spread FUD by keeping that article online with only a small correction at the bottom. No screen manufacturer in their right minds would make an ultra high density OLED display with such a flaw.

@superbagman: I am willing to bet it has aged well.

These screens are in the same boat as those Xbox 360/PS3 Final Fantasy XIII screens. They seem to be exactly the same, pixel for pixel, except for the buttons.

Strict DRM policies will not lead to less piracy, they will only lead to more. This game will be cracked within days, and many people who would have bought the game will pirate it because the DRM-free cracked version actually works better.

@AZoMBiE: Wait, but save for Mirror's Edge, that's all that they've made.

Debug console. Hmmm.

@ninjablaze: Relegating it to a single subset within a single genre is a far cry from your original claim of "most of the Wii's library."

@ninjablaze: Though in terms of processing power, the Wii pales in comparison to the other current generation consoles, from personal experience, I can safely say that this iPhone game indeed does not look better than "half the Wii's library." "Looking better" is subjective, but I suggest that you look at screenshots

@ben.messinger001: Google Talk is a Google application and uses data, while the other IM applications bundled with the G1 and myTouch 3G use SMS. I did fine with Google Talk without a texting plan on T-Mobile.

MMS would be great, I think I've missed messages because Google Voice lacks it. It's an archaic technology, but I think Google should at least give us an option to let us know if and when we missed an MMS, and who sent it. I don't want to seem like a jerk.

Microsoft: we paid millions of dollars for THIS?
