Me have read approximately 90,000 thinkpieces about Game of Thrones, and this was far and away best one.

This is honestly favorite take on TLJ me have yet seen. It had so many terrific elements—some of best acting and action moments in series—and yet not really held together well as whole.

Keep in mind that we learned in Force Awakens that JJ Abrams have no idea how distances in our space work. So it possible that Death Star that blew up over Yavin IV or Endor could have landed chunk in Naboo or Ceti Alpha VI or St. Louis.

So, here take me have on point 3 — retconning TLJ. So much time was spent in TLJ on myth of Luke Skywalker vs. actual person, and Luke’s arc in film is that he learns to embrace myth. And it pretty strongly implied that ‘heroic return of Jedi Master Luke Skywalker’ is what will spark galaxy-wide rebellion.
