Hitting sixes is a little easier now that we have roped boundaries than in the good old days when you had to hit it over the fence. I live in Melbourne and the MCG is a pretty big ground, but sometimes the rope seems to be 10 metres or more from the fence. I see a lot more sixes hit now than in the ‘80s.
