I couldn’t get into this game. I think I never even got off the first island because the progression was so slow and boring. Like I’ve played for a few hours and I’ve already had to save that girl and the cloud Pokémon like 4 times. Geeze get it together!

The nostalgia is the reason I’m going back. The remakes are indeed fantastic, but there’s just something awesome about those old 8-bit graphics/music.

This is actually a great point.

I’ve got those games, though I’m more looking forward to transferring these up with 100% less hassle than first having to go through B/W/B2/W2 (which also requires two DSes), and with the added bonus of all transferred pokemon having their hidden abilities.

Only thing that’s sad about this? No Crystal, which is easily the best all around (non remake) Pokemon game.

I guess X/Y really spoiled me, because the way Sun/Moon handled online services ruined the experience for me. It was just such a monumental step backwards.

The only thing, aside from nostalgia, is that the original GSC obviously lacks the Gen IV baggage.

Also Heart Gold and Soul Silver, as DS games, are still perfectly playable on the 3DS.

They are great, but they didn’t fix the biggest problem of the original GS, it gets really grindy in the second half of the game, even when you can finish the second league the same time it takes to watch a movie.

I’m so mega-hyped for this (Gold was my first Pokemon game), but the lack of Crystal is killing me. Why ignore it and side with Yellow instead? Crystal is undisputibly the better of the two versions (Kris! Unown! Eugene!).

They just showed an entire trailer of someone playing Pokemon on a handheld!!!! Jesus H. Christ, how did Nintendo not push them to make a main Pokemon game for the Switch? It would sell tons of hardware, tons of games, and coupled with Monster Hunter would absolutely destroy Japan. But no, apparently Nintendo doesn’t

Protip:

Because if they want us to buy digital copies of games then we should be able to continue using them.

Because SNESes and PS1s eventually break. Cart batteries die and discs get scratched. These games would eventually be lost, but for somebody dumping them online. The copyright holders view it as piracy and infringement of their IP rights, and yet, they’re not providing a means for willing consumers to buy the goods

The blue shell being removed wouldn’t improve the game. It would be to its detriment. You need a way for the people in the very back to have a meaningful impact on racers in the front. That’s what lightning and blue shells are for.

Of all the things Nintendo might be doing wrong, Mario Kart isn’t one of them. Get some air.

Yeah, nevermind it’s still regarded as probably the best MK around and sold millions. Nintendo, what morons!

For mobile applications, yes, AAC is the spiritual successor and is somewhat better than MP3, but FLAC is superior in every way to MP3, save for file size, but the tradeoff is that the format is lossless.

Thanks, yeah I’m totally fine now, that was almost a decade ago. I never went to a therapist for my eating disorder, though I absolutely should have because then I would have been diagnosed and treated for my depression and social anxiety much earlier.
