If the clutch already has automated mechanisms on it than skip the pedal and just have a gated shifter. As others have pointed out, it’s the ability to skip gears and know what gear you’re in by feeling the position of the stick that makes this idea work. The Pagani Huayra has a neat fake manual shifter. (as well as paddles). So there is an option if you’ve got a few million lying around.
