This would be the Continental Mark VI first downsized for 1980 which was placed on the Panther platform that the LTD (later Crown Victoria) and Grand Marquis used. It shared bodies with the Town Car up until the 1984 Continental Mark VII came out.

If the clutch already has automated mechanisms on it than skip the pedal and just have a gated shifter. As others have pointed out, it’s the ability to skip gears and know what gear you’re in by feeling the position of the stick that makes this idea work. The Pagani Huayra has a neat fake manual shifter. (as well as paddles). So there is an option if you’ve got a few million lying around.
