YES!!!

That’s him alright :)

That was one highlight from TFM that weekend. Then there was this...

Aussie GT kind of is a Businessman-championship in a way. But in saying that, there are a lot of V8 Supercar boys have found their way there, as well as International GT Pros like Lester. Pit stops are assigned compulsory times based on driver ability, which in theory gives everyone a chance. Obviously though, a late

I’ve never seen so much hype around a driver line up that hasn’t even been announced yet. Every article I’ve read regarding Haas has pretty much been a re-word of the previous story, albeit with a different quote from Haas, Steiner et al, and a couple of names added/removed.

Very similar circumstances to the crash that killed New Zealand Rallying hero Possum Bourne in 2003

Good luck with that...

I’d hate to see the Z range expand to more than one car, more over to a segment where the badge hasn’t been before. I realise Nissan is trying to grow its legendary identity in new markets, but shifting a label that invokes a lot of emotion into a segment that largely doesn’t sell on emotion does no favours for the

As always, Mitch Evans is on the money. Sadly, it will probably mean that he won’t ever make it to F1...

Remember all the talk about “the death of the 911” when the air cooled engine era ended with the 993?

We do take our safety seriously. In saying that, you’d be surprised how many people dart across a live special stage without warning... I’ve seen it from both sides of the cordon.

This guide is usually attached to the spectator route maps for most rallies here in New Zealand.

I wouldn’t say they’re “officially designated”, but they are widely regarded as the safest parts to spectate from. A good marshal will be able to point these out, but when you are dealing with huge groups, it’s inevitable that people will flip the bird at what’s recommended.

I’d recommend that link to any first time rally spectator.

I’ve posted this before, but I’m going to do it again. This should be the most important diagram that any rally spectator should be looking at. But unfortunately, a lot of people are happy to throw all caution out the window.

Short of making it illegal to spectate at a rally (or banning rallying outright), what do you suggest would fix this issue?

Sad to hear.

Alldays & Onions, if not for the length, definitely for its absurdity as the name of an automotive manufacturer...

More specifically, West Auckland.

We’ve been doing the old “exhaust through the hood” trick down here for years... it’s a Kiwi mechanical engineering favorite...
