There are people who love to watch chess though, and chess certainly doesn’t have the vibrancy or minute-to-minute excitement of most e-sports. E-sports sits between the two, what you’re seeing on the screen is exciting and fast paced and tactical, even if the person behind that screen is using primarily quick

Do you watch any sport? at all? Because the same principle applies. You watch to see the best in the world play.

Personally I watch quite a lot of professional DOTA 2, far more than I’ve ever played the game myself (though that’s a few hundred hours). It’s got the excitement of regular sport but for people with more interest in gaming, that’s all there is to it, it’s not hard to see why it’s popular.

Maybe of those were great ideas, if anything, the technology at the time just couldn’t keep up. I’d be very surprised if it was Spielberg pushing intense physics based systems in video games before pretty much anyone else...

Genn feels significantly weaker than Baku now that Even Paladin doesn’t really exist anymore. The only class I can think of that’s actively running it now is Shaman, but Baku has quite a few still in rotation, many of which you mentioned.

I liked the guy, never looked into or cared much about whatever the controversy was, but he was one of the figures that got me into Youtubing all those years ago. Fuck anybody trying to disparage him today though, time and a place, this is not it.

It’s a video game site, the fuck are you expecting? All any game site reviewer does is talk about video games, you think if one of Kotaku’s writers died the other sites wouldn’t talk about it? Biscuit, regardless of how much you personally knew about him, was hugely influental on the gaming scene in general and almost

I did see them live around a decade ago, but I’ve never been the biggest fan. They do however have a gigantic and fairly rabid following so, just saying, they’ll sell out.

Oh hey me too. Hopefully 2 does come out in 2020 so I can descend into my pit and wallow in post-apocalyptic escapism rather than deal with that fact.

They will not struggle at all to sell tickets.

It doesn’t resemble the original Rage that much but it still resembles it MUCH MUCH MUCH more than it resembles Destiny. So I assume yes. Borderlands is a much better shout.

There is a humungous difference between knowing we’re all going to die someday, and a doctor telling you you’re near the end - especially at such a young age.

There were so many calls for it to be fixed in the couple of days after release, but I’m glad people have realised it isn’t actually that strong. It’s a Tier 3 or so deck, nothing to get bent out of shape about and combo decks like this have existed for a LONG time - this isn’t nearly as frustrating as Raza Priest

Not at all. The deck isn’t even good, it’s like a Tier 3-4 deck and the card itself is fine. The animations are a pain, that’s it.

If they don’t want people to block ads they shouldn’t use such stupidly intrusive ones.

Honestly it’s a little sad that even now people feel the need to make this into a ‘console war’, didn’t we grow out of that years ago?

Is there any mention of how often new issues will be? I’m assuming not often given the level of detail and attention going into these, but I love the look of it, and always enjoy gamer stuff that doesn’t necessarily scream gamer just from appearance.

The problem is just that - building around it. Lone is...okay, Chain Gang is...okay (and I do like Lifedrinker in it) but you start to run out of options. You have to basically weaken the rest of your deck to build around one card in my opinion, and I don’t think the other Shaman cards are QUITE enough to make it

It’s not very good. It’s a card that looks crazy on paper but won’t actually see any play in reality - because what deck does it go into? You could make an elemental shaman deck with it but two of your BEST battlecries (Fire Elemental, Blazecaller) require you to target something in reality. You could just make a

They’re not wrong. Other sports have plenty of terrible people - it certainly doesn’t excuse it, but it certainly isn’t an excuse to shut down the whole caboodle.
