See those kinds of deals I don't think of as 'desperate' but I'm also a marketing guy by love and profession - so I see things through a different lens. I think that buyback with a lost job thing is awesome and shows empathy for the customers while driving traffic to the dealerships. If only they had started to look

I don't think this is as desperate as much as it is just a slightly over-ambitious rebranding/refresh - especially when I (who hated the old 300) saw the new cars and went in to at least check them out.

I don't think it paid off as well as they hoped because they've stopped doing it now I believe - too expensive and shit, though you can still download the app on your own iPad.

Boom. Best submission by far

Honestly it's hard to make any judgement call without knowing what the contract said for his appearance. If it just said they were paying him to take a few pictures and drive the car, then boom, he did his job to the letter. If he was supposed to do more and didn't, then that's fucked up - same rules we all play with

I honestly think taking a dump and putting pinewood derby wheels on it would be preferred/better than a SR car

Looks kind of like an American Ferrari FF. Not sure if love or just Meh, but I hope it gets made just because 6 speed manual wagon vette.

Fair enough, it was built in the ghetto, but he certainly did not set up his own car company to create jobs in said ghetto. He hired the WCC douchenozzles to make a hideous car and then use it to fluff up his ego (or maybe it's his weird hair styles?)

Look, I won't disagree that this guy seems to be interested in giving back to under served and underprivileged areas/kids - that is 100% awesome and it makes me think he's less of a blowhard. BUT - on Top Gear he mentioned that he 'created an auto company' to put manufacturing jobs back into the 'ghetto' HIS WORDS.

It's the internet bro, like 90% of responses are of an unwarranted degree of hostility

BMW's Interlagos Blue - now only available on their true M cars. My all time favorite color for any car, ever.

Fapfapfapfapfapfapfap to all of your images. Much appreciated for the excellent background image thread!

No, because then they are no longer student-athletes. By being compensated that makes them professional (at least in the eyes of the NCAA) Though I do agree that student athletes should get some compensation to encourage them to stay for 4 years and actually get a degree, not just come play for 2 years and then leave

I'd have to say Ferrari drivers are usually the hottest....

I might not have a star or be a super regular commenter here, but thankfully you don't either as your misguided and ignorant comments bring down the overall value of the website and the people that truly contribute to thoughtful discussion about cars and the like.

He doesn't need the BBC's paycheck anymore I'm sure. What with public appearances and the like plus his DVD sales etc and royalties on Top Gear he'd be fine. He is just fanning the flames on the other side of the debate and being rather funny while doing it.

I wholeheartedly agree, everything in New York just tends to be faster (or at least seems that way) when I moved to D.C. for college I had to learn to slow down my walking when with friends.

I'm from New York and I do agree, New York Metro Area drivers tend to either be terrible drivers, ass holes, or a great mixture of both. Not everyone is a douche-nozzle if they have a New York / New Jersey plate on their car.

Is it just me, or did they actually just go to a GM dealer and buy Camaro OEM headlights a la Noble with the Hyundai Elantra?

I'd have seriously just put everyone inside the truck, locked the doors, rolled the windows up, and just revved the engine louder and louder. Only way to respond to people like that is to not give them the satisfaction of getting riled up, just do what internet trolls do. - Piss them off and laugh because they will
