I actually haven't been much of a fan of Walla's production work for other bands (eg: Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin's third album), so I'd be interested to hear what Death Cab sound like without his touch.

I went back and read some comments from the AV Club review of Williams' most recent film The Angriest Man in Brooklyn and I was surprised by the amount of people defending him and pointing to movies like One Hour Photo. Of course, there were the usual toxic comments, but all things considered it was nice that people…
Nice Harry and the Potters shout out… there was an article last week about a band who performed as the Mario Brothers, and a HatP drop was expected but missing there.
HORSE the band, 'HORSE the song'.
No mention of Tiny Engines' 'The Hotelier'? Anyway, I appreciate these posts. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one of the whole AV Club. Thanks, personalised AV Club!
Wow, for the first time ever I actually did read the headline wrong, initially thinking it was that MGMT recommending comics.
I used to play as the Mii character on MK Wii… my Mii had a horse head, and the username was HORSEnKART and… hmm… anyway
See also: Harry and the Potters (and Draco and the Malfoys), or the One-Ups, who do jazzy cover versions of Mario/Nintendo standards.
I actually think B+ was pretty fair in this case. The episode was hilarious, with some completely one-of-a-kind moments (the Swiss ghost, the Dell/Windows 95 bits), but I don't think it compared to some of the highlights of season 1. The second part in particular had some great gags but didn't really come together as…
a) you can't count on people to google things on their own.
I hate to add to the confusion, but I fell into a bit of a wiki wormhole after posting that comment. Check out this bit on info from the Australian Liberal entry:
Goddamn stinking Liberals*
Wait until you see the Claw of Shame (ep 7 I think). That's his masterpiece.
Orange… you happy I told you about them?
Season 1 was one of my favourite seasons of all time. I just wish it was on DVD so I could give it to everybody I've ever met.
They did. Fuck that was a long, sordid eight years full of broken promises and spoiled deaths (and lumberjackings).
I had every Dexter death (and SPOILER: lumberjacking) ruined in advance for me through a series of increasingly far-fetched comedies of error on the internet. I can say this: they definitely ruined my experience of the show. Spoilers fucking suck.
I just finished binge-watching the first season, and it was a pretty great show. It got a lot better in the last few episodes (not that it wasn't good before), which bodes well for season 2.
RIP No Ordinary Family
"Made for children" is part of your problem in understanding it IMO, I think. The genius of speed racer is that it commits 100% to its story and universe without any faux-snark, 'wink wink' jokes or cynicism. There aren't many family movies that can say the same.
