That was just a restatement of the headline with a question mark.

The author of this article and the original reviewer are two independent voices.
What pray tell was the critical component of the original comment?
So you've got a problem with the whole of the 'Albums of the Year' segment?
Love your Lichtenstein avatar.
"Maybe it isn’t the year’s absolute best record—or even our No. 1 favorite—but it’s one that, without it, music would have been a whole lot less interesting."
Yeah this mini album (way more than an EP) is shit hot, and shows why she seamlessly transatitioned from pop one-hit wonder to indie queen.
These articles are doing a pretty good job at humanising William Hughes for me.
Great review - the AVC has been uncharacteristically insightful and open-minded with the "emo revival" reviews this year. I'll have to check this out.
More like talentless hack William Hughes
The AV Club wouldn't feel so empty without Hughes.
You don't, wanna fuck with Hughsey, cos Hughes' snark, will fucking kill you.
Lose yourself, Hughes.
Etc.
It's Noodle.
I'd argue that Uberlin is one of the most self-derivative R.E.M. songs there is…
Love Discoverer though. But for me nothing on the album matches Accelerate.
Interesting, I love Up so much. To me that is the deepest set of songs they've ever done.
Reveal on the other hand…
Accelerate is legitimately my favourite R.E.M. album (or maybe Up?).
9) Use this profit to pay William Hughes a wage, so he can brag to his hacky friends about his job as a hack and they can crown him King Hack and throw him a big hack party at Applebee's.
This is a great idea. Gotham is not always great (or even ever), but it's definitely unlike anything else on TV. For better or worse, that's worth writing about.
Yes in my opinion he's a hack who takes the easy way out by biting the pop culture hand that feeds him and I hate his reporting. Others love him and I'm not going to say they're wrong. Because flat out declaring things are objectively awful is for lamers.
Against the spirit of the article, I am capable of hating both.
This fucking article gives me the fucking butthurts. Their new Dangermouse-produced album is pretty ok. They're all talented musicians (not mentioning lyrics) and frusciante is one of the greatest.
