Raid 2 has so much plot people tended to get bored waiting for the action scenes. There are some non-action scenes the film could do without but the film did a real good job of portraying mafia-type warfare between multiple gangs. Only instead of machine guns and drive-bys, there are elaborate (and sometimes comical)…

Guy Pearce is the fucking best in that movie. Like, it’s pretty terrible overall, but he’s so fun to watch it almost doesn’t matter.

He’s woefully underrated as an actor, and watching him somehow manage to convey facial expression with just his chin was mind-blowing.
