This makes me more bummed than when G. Willow Wilson left Ms. Marvel. As disappointed as I am by this news, at least we are still getting Ryan North Squirrel Girl comics through the end of 2019. Derek Charm eventually grew on me, but Erica Henderson is just the best. But Rico Renzi is excellent, too, with his amazing

I really loved Deafheaven’s album this year. Probably my favorite yet.

Coheed and Cambria.

The new Coheed and Cambria comes out on Friday and although it isn’t their very best, it may well be their best since Good Apollo.

Seconded. Clearly Whiterose’s plan is at the center of the meta-narrative and I’m super-curious to discover if she actually manages to achieve the goal they’ve been hinting at for the past two seasons.

That was really good. That one must have come in July or August, after I stopped watching the show regularly because it was so inconsistent. I really liked Wolf on The Daily Show and her stand-up but I don’t think she was ready to host her own half-hour show every week and The Break definitely reflected that. I feel

Now playing

Just for comparisons’ sake, here’s Weezer covering “Paranoid Android.”

Twitter 2003: Peter Jackson fired from Return of the King after angry George W. Bush supporters uncover, inform Warner Bros. that Jackson directed earlier films with “extremely graphic content” including cannibalism, muppet sexual intercourse and drug use, and the violent death of a priest.

I feel like I’m missing something on the Snail Mail album by never having been a teen girl and mostly listening to the record driving around in the hot Texas sun instead of, like, 1:00 am on a cool summer night. “Pristine” is a great, 90's alt-rock inspired song, but the bulk of the album sounds like less successful

I Like Fun has a few absolute winners, like “Turn Back the Hands” and “When the Lights Come On”. Agreed about Sloan’s 12, though.

I really love “KIT”, too. The rest of the album is solid and a definite step up from Helter Seltzer at least.

Same.

Were Deadpool and Domino created by Nicieza? Because I’m pretty sure at that point (New Mutants #98) Nicieza was merely scripting Liefeld’s plot ideas. At the very least they were co-writing the book and the two should share creator credit.

“She even invoked the financial crisis of 2008, during which, Wolf said, she worked at Bear Stearns: ‘That whole company went down on me without my consent.’”

But those guests were not typical park guests. They were black tie invitees to Ford’s grand reveal, not the sort of folks just shelling out however much money to play around in the Old West for a week or two.

Fear has gradually eliminated all of the characters besides Madison, her two kids, Strand, and Ruben Blades. That attrition alone has made it a better show, and they keep trying interesting things in interesting settings. That doesn’t mean those things always work, but I find it much more likable these days than I did

I love 4 Nights at the Palais Royale so much.

I’m a gigantic Sloan fan, but 12 here falls in the bottom half of their discography for me. There’s plenty of good stuff on the album, but the bar is set so high with this band that a pretty good record doesn’t really cut it for me. “Spin Our Wheels”, “Essential Services”, “The Lion’s Share”, “Wish Upon a Satellite”,

It’s kind of amazing to me that Freeform is full steam ahead on this show but when they had a management turnover they decided to drop the Squirrel Girl-led New Warriors series even though season 1 was already in the can.

Is this where I come to “Um, actually” and point out that “No Children” is smack dab in the middle of Tallahassee, not its opener?
