Lewis also wrote Moneyball, if you want to bring an Aaron Sorkin comparison into this, too…

It was located in NYC for a while, but I thought it’s in Chicago these days. Of course, being old and all, I remember when The Onion (the original parent of the AVClub, although I’m not certain of their relationship now) started — in 1988 in Madison, WI when I was an undergraduate.

I'm not up in arms and outraged, but the change is weird like deciding it's the new Virgin Mega Store. If they moved to like Dumbo it'd make sense or practically anywhere not dead center midtown tourism. I'm not even sure it'll be something tourists are interested in.

I don’t watch Game of Thrones, why should I care?

Checked your past comments before replying because this sure sounds like trolling and yup didn’t even need to scroll down to see the N-word.

Why? Because there was a medical breakthrough in the form of antiretroviral medication. HIV is not airborne, so not sure why you think masks or social distancing would be required to stop its spread.

How does someone speak with so much confidence on something they know nothing about. You said “Without masks, social distancing” lmao

As a policy, “defund the police” makes perfect sense.

Jason Momoa didn’t want to be Drax in GOTG because he prefers to be a POC actor who is also a main character. Then he became Aquaman. Ironically Bautista is doing the same here, and I hope it works as well for him as it did for Momoa. Bautista needs more roles where he is more than the muscle. In GOTG, he’s actually

I was thinking a lot of people must have relapsed this year. A quick check shows I was right. I think some of the problems covid caused are only going to be seen when we start getting society back together.

Fortunately they canceled his show at the cocaine factory.

Sometimes it’s aimless snark, sometimes it’s “we CAN’T EVEN with this FIERCE new [publicist planted] photo shoot from [actress whose career is stalling],” sometimes (most of the time) it’s “looks like those clowns on Twitter did it again - what a bunch of clowns,” sometimes it’s “here’s the latest drama from a

What was so bad about The Martian?

That’s a really bizarre claim to make about Cline. There are books without (much) plot — slices of life, poetry about cats, etc, none of which resemble Cline’s books (which are filled with plot and events).

When he was talking about that part of his life, I kept imagining him as a character in ‘Mad Men’, not giving a crap about Don’s macho enigma schtick and just submitting nihilistic copy.

To me, this really just drives home how irrelevant someone’s personal beliefs are to whether or not they’re actually funny. Here’s a guy with some terrible views (“anti-environmentalist” in particular sounds over-the-top reprehensible, like something Mr. Burns would say), but somehow in spite of this, he’s written

PS: It stinks!!!

I understand why they protected the set for practical reasons, but it would’ve been pretty funny (and true to life) if there was a giant chili stain on the carpet for the rest of the series.

This is the best thing I’ve read on here in a long time. Absolutely iconic scene. Brian Baumgartner is one of the absolute best parts of that show.
