To be fair, I don’t think Pete Wells dislikes Guy Fieri, either personally or on principle. My read of that restaurant review is that he thought... drumroll... that the restaurant sucked. The first line of the review is, “GUY FIERI, have you eaten at your new restaurant in Times Square?

Also they should name the second one “Dune Deux: Do No Denouement

Plus, thanks to the diligent employees at Wells Fargo, you probably have the card already without knowing it!

Along those same lines, I hope they can pick up some of the writers who worked on Friday Night Lights (if they’re not running their own shows by now).

I think you’re making the same mistake a lot of people make about the law. The law isn’t a computer program executed by a machine: it’s meant to be interpreted by humans. Judges who preside over cases evaluating the law won’t mindlessly follow the words that make up the law, but instead will try to follow the intent.

This is how I find out.... That sucks.

The Otzi Wikipedia article has most of this information. It cites articles going back as far as 2011 (maybe earlier, I didn’t check the sources exhaustively):

Yeah I agree. It’s also annoying that most media publications seem to think “well, the show went up at midnight, so may as well pelt you with spoilers right when you check your phone in the morning.

I’m slowly realizing that basically no one (much less Emmy voters) watches comedies, so the nominations basically boil down to what show or people names they can remember.

Yeah but it’s also interesting that that Black Mirror episode was considered a _good_ TV movie.

I like to boil Sabretts for 3-5 minutes, throw out the water, and “pan-fry” them for a few minutes more until the skins crisp up. I find that cooks them evenly and somewhat quickly, and doesn’t turn my apartment into a smokehouse. YMMV.

Didn’t we debunk the notion that fat is bad for humans? Is it still bad for dogs?

I’m guessing that maps are banned because prisons can’t trust guards to tell the difference between the map of a real place and a fake one. Which of course speaks volumes about our prison system.

I haven’t looked into it all so this is bald, possibly baseless speculation, but I’m guessing that Friedman wrote a great pilot on spec and TNT bought it on the strength of that script. And to make even more wild speculation, I’m guessing that TNT either got cold feet or some of the greenlighting executives got fired

I go to karaoke a lot, and I’ve had a lot of friends pick Africa a lot. I don’t understand why. The song is so low-energy apart from the chorus, and there are really long instrumental sections, and as a whole it doesn’t build to anything.

Yeah there aren’t a lot of people sympathetic so Scientology in Hollywood.

Counterpoint: the show, while certainly not perfect, was and is still better than average, and occasionally is very good.

Or “Baby Got Backyard

Email doesn’t have that mode, but Gmail added that feature to its web client. So I don’t think it’s a problem for the Twitter client to add such a thing.

Yeah, I think this is only a problem if it were Comcast denying internet service, and they were the monopoly broadband provider.
