I think his narrative structures are great. I think he's at his clumsiest when he's setting up characters in the first act. The dialog is chock-full of bald pilot-speak:

I agree. I find a lot of songs on Weekend in the City to be super condescending. Still, some of their songs — Banquet, Flux, I Still Remember, Sunday — are just so gorgeous.

Poor Christie, he'll have to settle for a shitty job at Goldman Sachs or some dingy high-paying lobbying firm.

I will no longer try to watch this tv show with my wife.

It says something that I didn't remember that line, but I could immediately tell it was from the Simpsons. What other show would make a reference like that.

I don't understand why they only make 100. It seems more expensive to make so few, and I wouldn't even bother trying to get one. Why not 1000 or 10,000? They'd get the same marketing lift and people would actually go to their stores.

Isn't it quote-unquote bad to have a character whose character is entirely based on their sexuality / sexual identity? I really love that one shot of Rawls in the gay bar in The Wire because it's so understated, and his character is not about his sexuality at all. Whereas some Oscar bait movie about someone struggling

I went to a seminar about App Laws but the audience didn't know how to react.

Yeah, I guess the flip side of the "forgiving" coin is that the highs aren't as high. But I probably have a more limited palette than most coffee aficionados, and I want to worry less about getting the exact timings right, so it works for me.

I've gone from Aeropress to moka pot to cold brewer (the Oxo one), and the cold brewer is by far my favorite. You make a week's worth of coffee instead of just one cup, and it's stupidly easy to make. No stove monitoring or timing or anything. And it's incredibly forgiving as far as bean age and quality. I remember going to Nickelodeon Studios Orlando as a kid. The slime smelled like apples. Applesauce checks out.

OTOH an out-of-canon movie where he fights Solo sounds awesome.

That's insane, I can't imagine being able to get that far. I've plateaued at ~90k final score, and this is playing it 100x times a day.

I have to agree. I found the cinematography engaging and tonally perfect.

I've played 3D World, I'm pretty sure I've seen his mushroom stamp.

God I had such a huge crush on her in the 90s because of that movie. Also after the 90s.

Or Brooke Huggin'.

> the job of a comedian is to be funny

It can be kind of a handful.
