This is a trap.

Nobody buys a Corvette to go slow.

I’m a woman. An attractive one w/ an attractive husband. :)

The SRT brand - an idea before its time.

That would be very Aussie of them considering the previous straight 6 motors they built.

The i3 also had a starting price of something like $45k and is more or less a 10 year old design that they wanted to sell to the masses. Add in typical Gordon Murry’s lack of concern regarding price or need to sell in significant numbers, and taking out 500 pounds doesn’t sound completely unrealistic. I’m thinking

As a consumer, I hope that this policy, coupled with Ford’s statements about trying to migrate more purchases to being special orders (and incentivizing those that do) make the sales process at their dealerships at least marginally more pleasant.

I think you would be surprised how easy it can be to forget the tail when the main rotor is demanding so much attention. People think it’s safer to go around back because the rotor disc droops in the front making the front feel scarier and they forget that the back is even more dangerous.

Police arrested two ground technicians and the pilot of the helicopter and initially charged them with manslaughter

I really liked the McRib Jr., of course you have to like the McRib in the first place.  It was a similar patty, but on the regular hamburger bun.

Seems to be common with accidents in that part of europe. I remember adrian newey, patrick head and frank williams being legally on the hook for senna’s death in Italian court until lack of malfeasance was proven

It’s actually a pretty common European thing to do. The French and Italians love to arrest everyone involved in an accident, then they seem to be often cleared in the investigation/trial if they didn’t do anything particularly negligent.

100% they were really really good after a long night at work.

I mean, he’s dead. He’s not blaming anyone else. He’s also a victim in quite literally the definition of the word.

Oh for fucks sake. I’m god damn tired of this ‘Darwin award winner bullshit’. He made a stupid, careless, mistake in a moment of excitement and distraction. And he paid for it with his life. This is horrifying - and I’m tired of people acting like he somehow deserved it, or it’s somehow less tragic than any other

Just being distracted in thought is enough. We had a young lady killed here. She got off the bus (not school) and just walked around the front to cross the street and walked right into traffic.  End of her day, unfortunately.  It is amazing what people will do when their mind’s pre-occupied.

Which is exactly why we won’t consider a minivan. Our small SUV is already the largest vehicle my wife is willing to drive.

Makes me remember coming around a curve in a 1967 427 Corvette and cows were crossing the road.

Windows up, windblocker up, A/C on, and my 128i convertible is tolerable top down even in a FL summer. As long as I wear a hat.

I believe the article misstated the facts. Based on other reporting, is appears it’s a 10.5M total damages, of which Tesla owes 1% or 150K
