Former 911 operator and California Highway Patrol dispatcher here. At least in California, if there are no injuries and the vehicles are movable (aka, they aren’t stuck in traffic) there is no need to call the police. Just exchange information and be on your way.

Uhhh no

You certainly can’t look at stuff like this with rational 2019 eyes.

My area (NE Wisconsin) has gone *all in* on roundabout construction. It was initially terrifying, mostly because we have a lot of older drivers in large trucks that you assume drank their breakfast. After about 6-months everything calmed down and they are very, very nice. I for one welcome our new roundabout overlords.

Not outside the USA.

Ninety percent of these buyers will be trading in their old corvettes, which also make a ton of power

VW as many automakers back in the day just lost the focus of what made them successful.

There’s an article in Car and Driver today explaining that the reason for the lack of a manual is because they built the car around the tunnel, so punching a hole in it for a manual would compromise structural integrity.

Didn’t you know?

Exactly. Comparing an unreliable car with a bunch of unreliable cars is insane.  My Brother in law’s Tesla has had a multitude of problems, but he brags how reliable it is because its in the shop less than his old BMW. My Chevy has been only had basic maintenance for over the five years I’ve owned it, but in his mind

Why do you care?

It’s a reference to heroin. Meaning it’s so good that you need it like you need a drug that is so addictive that you want to shoot it into your body with a needle.

What’s your point? That this turd could theoretically be geared to accelerate briskly to 40 mph, at which point it’d be turning 3k rpms in top gear? It’s still a rolling roadblock, just like the OP said.

Flimsy doors and Soviet seats, yes !

That’s honestly why we were looking at the Kona. the warranty coupled with the 1.6T from the veloster turbo give this entire segment some decent competition

Why not the van then?

Nope.

Came here to say this. Unless you get a bus with an ADA lift installed, there is no way in hell you’re putting kegs on it.

I’m sure if I kept mine past the head gasket failure I would have started to see some issues with the electronics. I loved having the climate control right up on the dash next to the IP, though.

I’m seeing the red begin somewhere north of 4k. That’s still pretty low, but I expect the redline increases as the engine gets up to temp.
