This. It really depends on how fast the traffic is moving and how well it might mesh with the gear ratios in your vehicle. If it is moving at a speed where you can shove it in 2nd, release the clutch, and modulate following distance with only the throttle, it’s fine. In fact sometimes better than an automatic. If

I think this is a reality no one is willing to face. ALL cars in the segment saw a drop in manual take rates. They’re simply dying and the costs to certify a separate manual isn’t a winning proposition.

I wouldn’t want to give you a star but you’re right. Nobody buys wagons. Hell, I have this “funny” joke name and I don’t own one yet.

You are absolutely right! When I was at the Mercedes Benz ELITE Training, getting my factory training, we actually learned it in class. It has to do with safety. Gas filler on the right so in case you run out of fuel, you can add fuel on the side of the car that is not directly in the flow of traffic! In fact, almost

That’s very similar to the, “I’m not racist, but [proceeds to say something really racist].”

“people” have never cared about driving.

You will fight them by whining about them on Jalopnik? Why, you’re virtually guaranteed to win!

The piece makes it clear that the $200 estimate is a floor that you’d be unlikely to find.

I always wonder the same thing.

Official That Guy™ Comment.

Weirdly, a lot of the increase from a few years ago can be attributed to a better economy and lower gas. More jobs, more commuters, cheaper gas, longer commutes and trips.

I made* a comment about lifting things into cargo, only to say, sedans have trunk access way up high usually above the waist due to the rear lip on trunks. SUV/Crossovers rear hatches extend down to the bumper, usually knee height, so less distance to carry something up.

Torch keeps missing the reason why people want the higher ride height and it has nothing to do with off-roading. It’s mostly for ease of entry/exit. It’s easier to get into and out of a taller vehicle, especially if that vehicle is a compact or subcompact.

I’m soaking in all these “I don’t like other people’s automotive choices” takes. People are buying crossovers. Whether a small number of enthusiasts who are too smart to buy new cars like them or not is irrelevant.

Woops. Meant 2.0. Fixed, thank you.

The G chassis is reported to be lighter and stiffer than the F.

Perfectly-applied paint...

Your right, I do and he is sooo wrong. I have seen enough shit to know when it is time to enjoin something you have worked for and earned

Yeah because they totally don’t sell that kind of shit in Europe /s

They sell that over here as well.
