In their defense, people fall in love with vehicles without knowing much about them. I really, really want an early-model CJ, but upon driving one without power steering I suddenly discovered the romance has limits.

Regenerative braking can be adjusted via software.

Not to speak for her, but Stef occasionally requests crossovers and SUVs so she can tow her racecar. You often find her writing about it in the reviews. Our Austin writers, including Stef, were busy for the Austin Veloster drive, so it came to me.

The Jeep version of these wheels cost $390 each with the beadlock ring and hardware, so id assume the Colorado version would be similar in price

In congested urban Maryland, I’ve been bumped after 0.1 second because I didn’t move fast enough. You should hear what happens after a full second.

Exactly this. I live in a part of the country that either didn’t have cabs or, if we did, you had to call some dispatch number and wait who knows how long. When it got there, you were guaranteed a gross, beat up vehicle that felt like it could fall apart at any minute. How much would it cost? Who knows.

They’d have to knock it out of the park for anyone to even notice. It’d have to tick all the boxes, and get such astonishingly good reviews, or people would just say exactly that..... “Why would I buy HD’s first attempt at a sport bike, when I can get one that’s been refined over decades?”

Probably more have died with standard keys in the last 12 years... but there isn’t a new-fangled contraption to blame.

a) cite your sources that no one has died with a physical key

We had a guy toss one of our sail plates (a removable section (basically an access hatch) of the conning tower on a submarine) overboard to keep our boat from getting underway. Surprisingly, those things proved to be hard to replace and it delayed us a couple of days.

I don’t see why not. If you’re looking for a expensive race wagon, you’re probably going to go see both them.

“There are some strange people in the military...”

Opps... How about one of those removable stickers than?

I guess. I mean I could buy a 22 grand XV and drop another $1000 to make it worse. Or I could buy a used GX470 for 17500 and do way more stock than this Subi could dream of and pocket the cash for gas money or more overlandy bits. Plus I know which one will visit the mechanic less.

I had a 5-spd 4.0L Wrangler. Never saw close to 20 in town. Mild driving, perfect condition. It was just a gas pig.

Still plenty of current model low end cars that do not have screens. Are there were. So now all the cars have to have an LCD upgrade and a camera. This is not a trivial increase. And whatever it costs them will cost us 10x as much.

Let’s not talk about this here.

I know this isn’t a Marvel movie, but is the joke theory really that implausible?

Yes, the force of the air bag can dislocate or break joints. Plus, having your elbows lined up that way points them nicely at your spleen and other, highly vascular organs. Countries that teach “shuffle steering” have fewer post-crash organ transplants and associated mortalities/morbidities.
