I read your link. I just disagree with it. The EV tax credit should be used to increase competition, not reward manufacturers already in the market.

They aren’t as bad as you’d expect? As someone who’s LX died just shy of 200k miles (totaled in an accident, no fault of the vehicle), they’re impressively durable. The 5.7 will withstand a lot of abuse, and the platform itself is dated, but solid. The interior is cheap, but hey, the buyer’s young.

The basic Transit Cargo Van has been significantly enlarged from its original form, gaining an extended-height roof that looks to be at least a foot higher than normal.

You can fairly easily add heated seats to a car too though, so it’s not the end of the world there either.

The recommendation of the Focus is ok, but not the wrecked cars that he recommended. A clean title and clean history model is not much more expensive if any and is preferred vs any wrecked and repaired car.
