I got to question how much the price inflation for 911R was actually driven by its limited edition/collector’s item status as opposed to genuine excitement, with cars snapped up to be locked in the air conditioned vaults by investors rather than enjoyed on the open road by the enthusiasts.

And possible electric too. I-Miev 3000GT CrossSport

Correct me if I am wrong, but I do believe most Audis are rear-biased, with just the smaller Haldex-based drivetrains being front-biased (S1,A3, S3, Golf, etc.)

Just confirmed it will have a base price in the US of $200,000. That’s the same for the base Huracan.

Is this really who you think is buying Porsche Cayennes and Macans? BMW X Series? Mercedes Benz GL series? Audi Q series?

Of course not. This type of person only leases.

Garage parking tickets, toll tickets, parking pass... lots of uses for this!

BUT HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT HAND TOWELS?

Yep great point you’re right about the Excursion.
Even think about the Accord, the current Civic is massive so in a weird way, a ‘big’ SUV from ‘91 could theoretically not be that much bigger than a current Civic!

And if you remember the ads, it was like their own marketing department knew it. [It isn’t actually fast,] it just looks fast.

Overall length was 198.1 inches, and it stood 67.5 inches tall and 80.3 inches wide.

The clear, and always the best answer for a VERY fun, practical automobile is the M3. You can find a bunch of great examples, manual or DCT, in sedan or comfortable coupe form, both with big trunks and useable back seats.

I’ve got nearly 10k in repairs on mine this year. Maybe more, actually, about to spend 1500 in December alone.

This. A million times this.

I could have written your comment.

Also, if you look at i8 sales figures you might notice something weird in December 2015...BMW sold more i8's in a month than they have in the next 3 best sales months combined. They did this by “selling” all 2014 models that hadn’t been sold to dealers who were forced to put their warranties “in service”. A dirty

Think Bloomberg reported that they had extra production capacity at the plant due to reducing i3 production (they’re built in the same plant) and just decided to up production since the i8 had a year+ wait list at most dealers at the time. Then they severely overshot demand. It blindsided a lot of dealers who ended up

On the plus side BMW dealers are falling over themselves to get rid of i8's in inventory. People were getting sub-$1k/month leases a year or so ago. They were taking $20-25k off sticker without even asking.

Oddly, a lot of the things that make a car objectively bad made it subjectively fun.

Ah, I see. I read “picks up” as “gets”, not “gains”.

Reminder: this car eats 911's for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Literally.
