“And if we make DST permanent that means in the deep winter the sun doesn’t rise until almost 9am.”

We already use a totally different DST dates than Europe where the time adjustment can be different 4 times a year. Most of Asia, Africa, and South America don’t use DST at all.

Google circadian rhythm.

“the V70 is a small car.”

The XC70 was never Volvo’s full sized wagon because being the largest on sale doesn’t put it into a larger segment, and full size has a meaning people use regardless of brand. And E-segment only sounds “huge” until you realize it’s a D-segment car but fancy. One size up doesn’t do it. “Huge” never covers it when there

Come on, it’s nearly a foot longer than a Camry”

I’m guessing they’re not losing money, so they likely know how much it costs to insure them.

keeping in mind that the XC70 is already a huge car”

Yeah, but if you’re putting on 20's, you’ve already lost the battle and tires don’t matter.

I do kind of wish I had them, and could have gotten the upgrade at some point, but the car stops fine. I got silly 20" staggered summers (OEM rims still) and they’re a little silly with the standard brakes, but the car drives well, and I’m on my second set of 18's for winter use.

You probably wouldn’t do that on the stock 16"s though.

I ended up not getting the M-Sport brakes because it was the only way to get the car with all-season tires and I was picking it up in Germany in November...

Except the article is about new wheel fitment, not tire size, which is a secondary concern.

Those are likely aerodynamic to improve range. The wheels you usually see on Teslas are hubcaps over reasonably nice alloys.

They won’t as long as it doesn’t stop people like you from buying it and still has positive brand equity for others.

So you still bought one.

They could go upmarket and should still make a vehicle in the compact crossover category.

Also likely because they were winding down production.

That is the weirdest grouping of made up quotes with a weird derived conclusion.

Again, $500 one time and assumes they don’t just get a new car. This isn’t a big deal for them either way and SC is still at the low end of the overall tax spectrum. This didn’t likely negate all the other reasons they move there.
