Need is a silly word all around. And you can usually fold flat the seats in 3 row crossovers if you really determine you want to sleep in it. Not all minivans can do that anyway.

Comparing the Pacifica’s combined mileage across drivetrains (PHEV and ICE) to the Durango is meaningless. (It also seems like the Pacifica’s info is screwed up on Fuelly). Moving on.
