As a book-preferer, I'm not really worried about the show spoiling things. Season 5 only vaguely resembled the books as it was, so it seems likely they'll just be doing something completely different from what the books will be, meeting up at the same approximate ending.

Count me among those who thought Archer Vice didn't really fulfill its promise, but I thought last season was a pretty good rebound.

Cool word!

This certainly gets the season off to a good start, as more happens in this episode than the entirety of the last 2 seasons.

I also thought Gus killing Malvo was more thematically appropriate. If memory serves, Molly never once interacted with Malvo, so there's no real character closure if she's the one to take him out. Malvo was Gus's white whale, Lester was Molly's, and they each confronted their own.

Furious 7 was also the only F&F movie I've seen all the way through (though I've seen enough of the recent ones on cable to piece together most of the mythology). It was so delightfully, joyously stupid, and the Paul Walker Tribute ending was surprisingly touching. I kinda wish Jason Statham had been given more to

Ex Machina was one of the best episodes of Black Mirror, but as a movie it averaged out to "just OK" for me. The performances and visual style were all excellent, but the story was just kinda meh. It started out as an intriguing sci-fi mystery, but at the end it felt like they were trying to cram in as many "twists"

Check your lease, man, cuz you're living in Fuck City!

I'm more worried that it looks like Insurrection with motorcycles (???).

I also enjoyed the last film, and this trailer made me miss its subtlety, of all things.

Nice. The discount number.

In a reversal of my usual take on this show, I thought the character moments were really good but most of the stuff that actually happened was kind of a mess.

Fuck that Ralph Peters asshole for calling Obama a "pussy".

2.5 months out from a hamstring strain and my normal runs are about back to normal. There's still a bit of discomfort but I can run my usual pace and feel pretty good. However, today will be the first time I run back-to-back days for a while, so I'll be on high alert for pain.

You year sounds pretty similar to mine, except I thought RPO was just okay.

“Normal” could possibly land with some viewers, assuming there’s anyone who cares more about the Sarin attack than about Allison getting her comeuppance, but I’m not convinced there are many people like that.

At first I thought "Plotsenzee" was just the writer's snarky nickname for the plot-contrivance of the former-prisoner story.

With apologies to Whovian, I'll just dump this here…

Aaaand a Punisher in a pear treeeee.

Buck was the showrunner on Dexter for four seasons
