This certainly gets the season off to a good start, as more happens in this episode than the entirety of the last 2 seasons.

I also thought Gus killing Malvo was more thematically appropriate. If memory serves, Molly never once interacted with Malvo, so there's no real character closure if she's the one to take him out. Malvo was Gus's white whale, Lester was Molly's, and they each confronted their own.

Furious 7 was also the only F&F movie I've seen all the way through (though I've seen enough of the recent ones on cable to piece together most of the mythology). Ex Machina was one of the best episodes of Black Mirror, but as a movie it averaged out to "just OK" for me. The performances and visual style were all excellent, but the story was just kinda meh. It started out as an intriguing sci-fi mystery, but at the end it felt like they were trying to cram in as many "twists"…

In a reversal of my usual take on this show, I thought the character moments were really good but most of the stuff that actually happened was kind of a mess.

Unpopular opinion alert: I saw both The Master and Lawrence of Arabia in 70mm, and thought they looked better on digital. Much of this is likely due to the fact that I feel like my 70mm theater does a crappy job of maintaining their 70mm projector.
