I'm not sure I've ever actually met anyone who watches the new episodes of the Simpsons regularly. The ratings must be serviceable enough since they've managed to sustain the show for this long, but who exactly is the current audience for the new seasons?

So, how is everyone dealing with the shutdown?

I think it's just a touch too mannered to quite connect as it should on the human level. The visual design was beautiful, but in combination with the somewhat lofty-sounding dialogue, for me it made the film's world feel a little sterile.

Yeah I would definitely recommend checking it out when you can, one of the more unique films I've watched of late and one that made quite the impression overall. Though it's certainly not a light viewing experience.
