I enjoy putting a lit wreath on my cars :)
Rev matching is fun. Standing on the clutch pedal for an hour is not.
See this graph made by bhtooefr:
Actually the common rails in “cheater” mode emit more NOx than the old rotary pump cars, even the non-egr IDI motors. The CRs have *much* lower PM and HC though.
I just uploaded an Eagle dealer demo VHS. I imagine this was very near to the end:
I’m fine with badging which reflects the equipment the vehicle has, even if it’s the only option. Much better than model names / badges that are simply marketing fluff.
If I was going to hit a flat wall at 30 mph I’d take the W126 and its padded knee bars. Over 30... I’m not so sure what I’d pick. At 40 I’d be wanting a newer car for sure.
Flashing brake lights aren’t allowed by DOT standards. They have to burn steadily, and be on a fixed part of the car.
I turned this on using a scan tool on our ‘12 Passat. I’m also not sure why it wouldn’t be inactive.
If the AC is running a higher dew point will cause more heat rejection from the AC condenser since the AC will have to work harder to maintain the evaporator temperature.
I test drove this car a while back. AC is dead, brakes are rusty, but the motor ran sweet. ABS (which does the brake assist as well) was working properly. It did sound like it might have had the star of chain noise though.
From everything I could see the odometer is accurate.
Here’s a video I took of it running:
Did the Porsches get a Webasto parking heater? All V10s have them. Having an accessories and isolated start battery is nice when running the heater since (in theory) running it can’t drain the battery to the point the engine won’t start.
As the owner of a V10 I can tell you you need to know your way around VW scan tools, and be able to roll up your sleeves and do some things yourself. If you go into one of these trucks eyes open (and don’t buy one that’s got a ton wrong with it) it can be a good ownership experience.
Here’s an example of some testing I…
I miss mine. It made OK power for its day (134 hp out of a 2.3), ran smooth, and had a great sound.
Sorry, that’s simply not true. Perhaps on some brand new cars, but in the 90s and 2000s at least some critical safety systems were not fused.
There probably isn’t an airbag fuse.
I walked into a Tesla dealer on launch day around 4:30 PM, and put down a deposit with no waiting.
Claiming a plug in hybrid with sub 20 mile range is comparable to something with 200+ mile electric range is laughable.
You should read the facts about that case. McDonalds had been warned multiple times their coffee was served at an unsafe temperature. And that restaurant’s machines were even hotter than corporate policy allows. It wasn’t simply a case of a lady spilling a drink on her lap.
I’m guessing this was due to VW / Porshe’s Tiptronic patents.
