I'm partially colorblind, as a consequence I see red light at about 1/2 to 1/3 of the intensity of normally sighted people. As such I like amber turn signals much more than red ones because I can see them much more clearly.
And yes, that means I have trouble seeing red traffic lights and stop lights sometimes. Traffic

The VW Vanagon 1.6 Diesel. That thing was dangerously slow.

Yup, most USA versions just flash the brake lights. Our 2012 Passat is the same way. It seems to be a marketing decision... it's cheaper to make the brake light flash on the cheapest models. To keep the look consistent the higher up models do the same thing.

Ya, from the NB's I've driven I find they handle better than a Golf, and the nice glass area makes it feel very open.

I'll believe it when it's in showrooms. There were 1998 Passat TDI press cars too.

Looks like a Becker radio too.

7.) Speed warnings

I remember my friend's Probe did this.

I've got a copy of that excel sheet, I wish I had a similar one for other models!

Yup, that's me! I'm compu_85 everywhere (well some places don't let me use the underscore). Thanks!

My father had a 2004 1.8T passat 5 speed stick, with 4Motion. Nice car. Odd to see twin exhausts on a 4 cylinder.

1.) 5 MPH bumpers

A 4.0 W8-powered all-wheel drive wagon with a manual. Guess how rare it is!

My dad had an S-Class Mercedes with a manual transmission back in the 80's. It was a custom AMG 'show car' imported from Germany back when you could do such things. 540SE AMG wide body conversion, one of only a handful of four door wide bodies ever to exist...

Few wheel covers look nicer than the giant shiny Mercedes logo over body color on those metal wheel covers.

My VW TDIs can already go 700+ miles on one tank or more... about the limit of what you can drive in a day. Having to fill so infrequently is nice :)

If only there had actually been bees in this situation:

I found most of a box of condoms under the back seat in my W126... guess the long wheelbase model is good for more than just legroom!
