I dunno why the quote is coming up like that. But anyway, see the last paragraph of the article.

Mercedes-Benz is offering free towing to owners of affected cars to make sure they can safely get their vehicles checked at the dealer.

I highly doubt this is how it went down considering the B58 has been shipping in BMWs since 2015 as part of BMW’s natural evolution of the N series into a modular I-3/4/6 combo. No way Toyota demanded “significant engineering changes” on an N55. More like they determined a B58 is good enough.

I think they’re just pulling out oldies that are still or again relevant? For this specific one, Lady Camden is currently doing quite well on the current season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, which has also exploded since this was posted. So she’s a whole hell of a lot more well-known now than when this was posted. In fact, I

I’m getting a lot of current gen Highlander from the rear 3/4 shot. And unfortunately the front with the smaller headlights looks like a Mazda 2. Overall it just looks way cheaper than other current Mazdas.

It gets 129 horsepower off the front axle, don’t you know?

Okay but the Sony Ericsson product placement definitely worked on me! I would have loved that Bond Edition “CyberShot” phone. Instead I got the regular version :P

Well that’s a steal! The car goes from being pretty uncompetitive to downright irresistible. Don’t think it’s fair to say it meets a $50k target price, though. Most people won’t qualify for all those discounts and some of them apply to many other cars.

That M2 owner need only crank the wheel (while the headlights are in auto and on) to discover what the middle lights do. This is the setup in many a BMW.

Most models get the same fancy hardware but with everything disabled via software. You can program all the fancy ROW stuff back in.

Disagree to a certain extent and I live in San Francisco. Having to constantly street park an ES here is going to be a nightmare since most spots in residential areas are between two driveways and the 10" over a Venza are going to rule out a _lot_ of spots. I drive an X3 which is as long as a Venza and that’s

Don’t these start closer to $70k?

I would guess it’s decently high demand coupled with extremely high barriers of entry for other gas stations. Don’t think getting gas there is particularly complicated. The location is right on Highway 1 in the middle of Big Sur. So plenty of tourist traffic coupled with absolutely no other road to turn off onto and

The amount of comments this applies to:

Yep. Basically anything mildly popular (so all crossovers) is supply-constrained at the moment. I’m in the bay area as well and I know at least one person currently sitting on an ID4 waitlist at a dealer. They’re selling as fast as they come in, which may not be much at all. I see tons of them around San Francisco,

The Germans are rated to tow way more than an RDX (I think), even in 4-cylinder guise. Who knows whether they are actually better at towing but I think having the rating is important regardless of actual performance.

The only reason you would have to come to a complete stop is if you messed up your merge and are rightly aborting instead of just cutting somebody off (otherwise known as yielding). If somebody’s going faster in the right lane than the speed you want to merge, you can just merge behind them. If somebody’s tailgating

This is just wrong. Vehicles on the highway sure as hell do not have to yield to merging vehicles. If you’re driving a constant speed in the right-most lane, which is what everyone on the highway should be doing most of the time, you should need to take no action for anybody merging. If you can’t manage to merge

Hell, so many people don’t even drive the inside of the vehicle. They drive the ownership experience, which I think should be massively nicer with BMW just based on the dealer network being so much more established (no Supercharging network, though... for now).

It does that same thing as the 4-series where from the side there’s an illusion that the front wheels are larger than the rears. It’s not a good look. Can somebody explain what’s happening? Too much rear quarter “mass”?
