This sounds so much like a Teen Titans Go episode. Please give us this as a Teen Titans Go episode.

Dean Kane isn’t especially well remembered and “the Smallville kid” doesn’t really look anything like he used to so it’d probably fall flat. Plus, they technically already established in the CW Crisis that he gave up his powers.

Yeah, this is not what cultural misappropriation is and if you got paid and were allowed to quit then you weren’t a slave.

The “cultural misappropriation” claim is just as dumb. Even if there was a case to be made, it would equally apply to his films, which are themselves “appropriated” from the work and Bob Kane, Bill Finger and others.

Even though you’re a slave of Disney or Warner Brothers, they can do whatever they want.

I was getting more of a Data from Goonies vibe. Repairing a space suit helmet with duct tape seems like a thing he would do when older.

“Have you noticed how slow they talk? And so much whispering!”

(Verse 1)

I do so love how Ben gets Jadzia out of there IMMEDIATELY like she would be unable to jump Spock’s bones...

“...we’re living in a golden age of exploring the fact that Spock Is Hot.”

Kamala the comics character was a fan of all the superheroes, had an early adventure with Wolverine and did Champions with teen Cyclops. So Iman the superfan gets to write Kamala the superfan getting to join the X-Men. I’ve got high hopes. The mutants could use a bit of embiggened sunshine right now.

Really happy for her. One of the most delightful things about the comic - and later, the show - was how it captured the teen experience (and very much the teen to immigrant parents in Jersey experience) without resorting to the old well-worn clichés. If Vellani can bring her real lived experience to that, and merge it

I saw RotB at a press screening with a large group of local TF fans from a local TF convention. The crowd was into the movie, obvs, but when Noah flipped that card and we saw the logo the crowd ERUPTED. It was awesome. That was the loudest they’d been during the movie.

Considering Transformers: Rise of the Beasts takes place before the events of Michael Bay’s five Transformers movies, you might expect it to be devoid of surprises.

Yeah the problem is a balancing act. too much interference and you get Rare and Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. too little and you get Fable 3.

“Do you ever think about dying?”

Every time I get a little more info about this movie I get more excited. The birkenstocks and stilettos being a stand in for the red pill and blue pill, and Barbie choosing to stay in the fantasy world. *chefs kiss*

Same.  I’m still not convinced he isn’t....

My head-canon is that Will Ferrell’s character here and in the live action portions of The Lego Movie are the same character.
