I often wonder that the long-term plan of Republicans overall is. I mean, this is a group that worked tirelessly to tell people who voted for them that their votes weren’t being counted, that voting was rigged, that results were fraudulent - and then wondered why they had lower voter turnout during the next election.

The only thing going for them will be Disney especially when the orange crop starts to die when the climate gets worse. Systemically alienating the House of Mouse seems like a great way to kill one of the few things your state has going for it.

Sorry broseph, but those ‘other parks’ have diverse employee bases as well AND Disney does have slightly larger brand than most of the others (combined). So, good luck in your objective to rid yourself of the Mouse’s House, but don’t be sad when all you’re left with is termites...

So basically, he was asked for a script, turned it in, and the studio said “that’s not really what we were looking for, sorry.”

Does it really baffle you though? Everything DC did before James Gunn seems to be so confusingly rushed. Shoving Wonder Woman in the Batman V Superman story that also included the Doomsday storyline in Superman’s SECOND appearence. The whole universe felt like the fast forward button was stuck.

I am legitimately mad how much I dig this trailer. Like, “Goddamnit, Max Landis’s Dirk Gently Show Is Actually Really Good” levels of mad.

The deal with Allison Pill/Agnes Jurati is that her Borg were a second collective - they were much smaller than the main Borg Collective that we saw through TNG and Voyager and kept out of the way until the events of s2. What we saw here in s3 were the remnants of the previous Collective (hence Alice Krige, who played

I know a lot of people have complained about the show, but with the exception of the first season finale and a couple bumps in writing in season two, I loved pretty much all of it. Would’ve liked to have seen more Orla Brady overall is probably my only real complaint.

Kamala’s reaction to Goose is exactly what I’d expect literally anyone to do who wasn’t already deeply familiar with the bizarre shit out there in the universe of the MCU.

“Is this an Avengers test??” haha love it

Can’t wait! Iman Vellani just inhabits Kamala so well that I can’t stop grinning when she’s on screen.

This looks like it’s shaping up to be about the most fun I’ve had with a Marvel film since Shang Chi.

There are going to be some hot takes from people who skipped Ms. Marvel and aren’t prepared for Kamala’s energy

This looks awesome!  The Kamala Khan series was EXCELLENT, and I love that her family will be in this movie, too.  :)

What’s even better is that this is 100% pulled from the republican playbook. It has happened multiple times over the years where a Democrat wins the governorship in a red state only for an emergency session of the state congress to pass a bill restricting their powers before they enter office.

Yeah, putting aside the “cheering for mega-corps” angle, Desantis was literally just trying to retaliate because his fascist policies weren’t liked, and install stooges on these boards for the sole purpose of blackmailing Disney into altering its content by holding hostage the things that council controlled. That’s *li

It’s poetic justice that a mega corp used the policies championed and enacted by the GOP for decades to shut little Ronnie down like a child.

I see! well I was close:) Yeah, I haven’t seen the movies. I’ve never been drawn to the Gothic City scene. Now that you say “problematic” I’m interested though. DC’s host of female characters don’t usually get this kind of treament - or at least this kind of following. Thanks for the insight.

I love it. These right wing chuds have been doing the same things for decades and are now clutching their pearls on their fainting couches because someone did it against them.

One of my generational markers, besides seeing Star Wars in its original theatrical release, is having watched the Holiday Special when it aired. And I can attest it simply wasn’t that strange or terrible compared to everything else on 70's TV. It probably aired the same week as The Brady Bunch Hour.
