Comparing a Pilot to a Tahoe or Expedition is pretty silly.
David, David, David - the Escort GT was actually quite special in it’s day - lot’s of suspension mods versus the LX models and a hotter engine - 127 HP versus 90 HP. They were quite a strong competitor in the hot hatch segment.
They don’t have gas cap sensors per se - OEM’s are required to do a pressure check on the fuel system on each start cycle.

I hate to break it to you, but they don’t use the tone wheel - they use the frequency that the ABS SENSOR sends to the ECU, compares it to the others and then flags you if one is of a higher frequency, indicating it is lower on air.
And snow too - it’s pathetic how ignorant people are about how the whole concept of ‘being seen’ is hugely imporant with any kind of precipitation!
