He's from Central Mass., Bruins are more likely.

They bother the hell out of me, because Hollywood is already filled with Masshole sports fans. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are givens, but you've also got Steve Carrell, Seth Meyers (though he's a Steelers fan along with the other three NE teams), Jimmy Fallon, and Denis Leary. Probably not an exhaustive list either.

Sublime With Rome are so fucking bad that a judge ruled that they legally can't call themselves "Sublime."

Sublime is a band loved by entry-level stoners, so I'd listen to him when he talks about why they suck.

If you're not 100% dedicated to the cause of hating a song, then don't play the Hatesong game.

I'd say I'm a Mac guy but I'd be lying.

For me, however, the main reaction each year—from a critic’s and a fan’s standpoint—is hope.

Death comes in threes and it's usually related. Jose Fernandez, Arnold Palmer, who's the third?

Not surprisingly, Hatesong is at its best when the interview subject truly hates the song. The two best entries are Dean Ween riffing on "What's Up?" by 4 Non-Blondes and that guy from a metal band tearing into "Dude Looks Like a Lady" by Aerosmith. That made for far better reading than someone hating a song because

Home Improvement was a very safe show that didn't know what it wanted to be. Everything it did was done better by other '90s sitcoms. Tim Taylor was no Al Bundy- he wasn't macho enough, dumb enough, or good enough with quips that weren't grunts. The episodes didn't have memorable concepts like those in Seinfeld or

Character development? We're into the seventh season of a show Simpsons-esque family dynamic (minus the cynicism of course), we know what we're getting out of every character. Sometimes a TV show is just a TV show, even in an era where the bar is set very high for them.

I like 40 Oz. to Freedom. Sublime's self-titled album was far more radio friendly, and it showed off none of the influences that they held dear. This song is the biggest proof of that- at least "Wrong Way" was as ska as they got. If Brad Nowell stayed alive, they would have become even more watered down. As Michael

Just posting this to let people know that the insightful comment that started this spirited but enjoyable discussion was deleted for… reasons. Don't ask me why, but it's definitely proof that things are getting worse around here. Not like I've been around much to notice….

It feels like everyone who writes about these issues is reading from the same script. It sorta bugs me, and it's not conducive to critical thinking that some issues sorely need.

Sorry if I came off as mean. Admittedly, the ruling was rather nuts and they were done in by Florida's requirement that they had to pay money into escrow before they could appeal it further. But you can't say they didn't dig their own grave.

These pieces of shit will still be able to write for other websites that Univision owns and meanwhile I'm lucky to work 5 hours a week at my current job.

Buckley v. Valeo was an inconclusive trial, I don't think you can overturn it.

Don't worry, IO9 is safe, albeit still under the auspices of Gizmodo.

They certainly made it easy for Thiel.

Gawker is even worse than clickbait journalism a la Salon.
