I really hate to be all #notallanything on you but I really disagree. Sports, and especially team sports, can provide an amazing community to people who otherwise don't have great home lives, role models, etc.
Louis CK says things like that all the time and it's hilarious.
Mine are mostly centred around my gear. Lucky sports bra, lucky knee socks. Sometimes that means not washing said lucky items. It can be totally gross.
I'm a woman athlete and based on my own experience, and those of others, athletes are extremely superstitious.
