Shit, I drew the line even shorter than you. No Hulu or Disney+ for this guy.

I’m in the same boat. Add to that the fact that I’m perfectly willing to pass on something I’m interested in seeing (i.e. the new Twilight Zone series, and now the Mandalorian) simply due to the fact that I fucking hate the current trend of companies hoarding all their content behind paid subscriptions, and this is a…
Two words for you: Dodge roll
Late responding to you, but I came back to post an update downthread with images of my newly customized joy-cons. My issue was purely cosmetic at this point and my joy-cons still work well, but I ordered replacement shells and buttons to make the all grey + black color scheme a little more appealing to me.
Well said. I agree 100% on the concept being great, while the execution thus far obviously leaves something to be desired.
Update: just ordered new shells AND buttons, along with a screwdriver kit. Spent more than $10, but still not nearly as much as a new set of Joy-Cons. They’re gonna look so badass while they cramp my hands to hell from now on.
Honestly, I envy you for that.
Didn’t even consider trading them in- good point!
Thanks, I did see those and almost pulled the trigger at that price. Almost...
I might look into that, actually.
Honestly, and I say this as a big fan of Nintendo, the Joy-Cons are one of the biggest ripoffs in the console gaming world today.
It’s funny because your experience is so similar to mine in terms of how you played the games (i.e. FFVII first when a friend brought it over in junior high, then going into the backlog on emulators, etc.), except for the fact that IX resonated with me THE MOST when I finally got around to it, and specifically because…
I was ready to throw Luigi off a bridge by the time I finished story mode. Yes I know I died twice in a row, but I’m not taking your stupid helper items.
Disclaimer: I fully realize that not having played the game makes a huge difference in my attachment to the character.
The only game where this happens to me is the NHL series. My brothers and I get the new version every year to play together, and for some reason I grip the damn controller like a madman in that game.
But that’s part of the point here. The only explicitly bisexual character in this game, along with numerous other forms of media, is most often portrayed as a weird, sex-crazed villian instead of just a normal person who happens to be bi.
Looks like some good old-fashioned multiplayer fun. My only suggestion based on watching the first few minutes of the video above- can they dial back the grunting that accompanies seemingly every character action?
