The nice thing about the phrase “with all due respect...” is that it is accurate, even when none is due.

You just know Cruz got mad watching “Hidden Figures,” not because of the discrimination and injustice faced by Mary Jackson, Katherine Johnson, and Dorothy Vaughan, but because he bets they kept some mediocre white guy from getting a job.
“When it was still struggling to keep up with Microsoft and Windows, Mac OS was a sandbox of fun ideas that didn’t really help you get any work done, but made using your Mac all the more fun.“
For the most part they end up on a list of stores not to bother with anymore...but if the customer is looking for something really rare and a place like this just happens to have it, I will warn the client of my previous experience and see what they want me to do.
So it’s official now. “Literally” no longer means what it used to mean?
So.... not literally then, as the title would suggest.
It’s even worse in Florida
This all made perfect sense when I hit the word Texas.
Love your adventures, Tom! Always read them. Always learn something.
Literal rain would quickly destroy your equipment. Figurative flag on field for literal penalty.
A CUV is a shittier version of a wagon. Taller, worse mpgs, can hold less stuff, etc. I get that wagons aren’t in fashion anymore, but they’re measurably better at most things than a CUV is. Every soccer mom driving around in an empty Escalade/Suburban/X7/Yukon/Grand Wagoneer really just needs a wagon.

American Excess in full effect yet again, completely negating the whole purpose of EVs.
As fun as these comparisons to random objects are, I think relating them to their closest ICE competition would be more helpful. And then I’d like to see a list of the heaviest non-BEV vehicles currently on sale in the states.
If the Bolts go the way of the Volts then they’re going to come crashing down in value, find a niche market of fans who swear by them, and shoot up in value the second gas gets pricy.
Total bummer they are killing an electric city/commuter car to make big monsters. Why not both? Surely there is a market.
If you can get a 2023 bolt at MSRP or less do it while you can. there’s no way in hell they are going to sell anything remotely close to that price going forward. They dropped the MSRP by 8 grand last year as part of their “sorry our cars catch fire” tour so right now you can get the base model after the 7500 rebate…
