I’ve been hit by cars a few times (do not recommend, btw). Every single time, I was in a crosswalk with proper right of way. Every single time, the car was going ~10 mph or less. Every single time it was a CAR, and not a TRUCK, so I was hit in the legs and wasn’t badly hurt. But had I been hit by a modern Canyonero,

I saw a Silverado today and I couldn’t see over the hood. I'm 5'5" so much larger than a child. There is no way they could see anyone walking in front of their grill. Even worse I could tell if I did get hit I would have a head injury and immediately get thrown under the wheels. Sounds like an awful way to die so

Agreed 100% let’s avoid the collision in the first place: let’s ban cars from cities and neighborhoods. Restrict their speeds by raising all crosswalks to sidewalk level and prioritize all pedestrian and cyclist movements over cars. Completely ban them from school zones. Give (back) people outside of cars plenty of

Forget these new proposed regulations. The U.S. needs to take a page from EU countries and limit owning/driving full-size pickups (and possibly large SUVs as well) to those with commercial permits driving them for commercial purposes. Or at the very least, enact laws that ban jacking up those monstrosities past their

This is solely because public transportation in North America is an absolute joke and owning a car is a necessity to survive.

Deleting my Amazon account years ago is something I’ll never regret.

My guy, my guy. Divorced dude to divorced dude. Seriously, actually, for real, don’t make any major money moves yet (the word yet is key here). Especially money moves that sound like $30,000 of retail therapy.

I like the cars they make, but my god.... I dont know if I ever want to have to deal with the company though.

Holy hell, I love this design! It reminds me of a late 70s / early 80s concept car, which is a design feel that speaks to me on a deep and nostalgic level. Just wish it was a proper hatchback, with that much fastback shape to the roof line. (Doesn’t seem to be, but maybe I’m wrong.)

Here’s to hoping they’ll make a full hatchback and there’ll be an available hybrid...

I you shouldn’t do this the most

All of which goes to show how we should appreciate the jut-jawed look of the Postal Service’s new EV:

Come to the Netherlands and get run over by a parent on a bakfiets pedaling their children to work, safe from the bad outside world. I can tell you, a bakfiets hits harder than an omafiets. Even in bicycle world the arms race has begun!

This is a good video, I watched it the other day. We need some automaker to stop making rolling compensators and be brave enough to make lower hoods on a pick up truck.

A Prius has no right to look that good, especially in yellow! But dang, that’s got to be one of the best looking cars on sale today.

First, since when has yellow been a color for the Prius?

2016 Lincoln MKX, purchased as a factory CPO in 2019. After a year I started seeing an oil drip under the engine. Later a code popped up for the purge valve. They called me back and said it needed spark plugs, I declined. When I went to pick it up, the told me they went ahead and did spark plugs, and the oil drip was

Not mine, my dad’s.

Perfect.

I think you’re missing the biggest reason for fewer pedestrian fatalities: the fact that the whole of Hoboken is completely gridlocked virtually 24/7 thanks to these changes.  So cars aren’t going fast enough to hurt someone.
