Yeah, but seriously, I want that yellow! I didn’t see it on the configurator for the 2023 or 2024 for any model of Prius. What gives, Toyota???

They should call it “Hide and Ride”. Or “Collapse and Do Laps.” Hmmm. Maybe “Make Room and Vroom”. Just spitballin’ here.

I couldn’t believe all the grammatical mistakes in this paragraph:

I’ve always wanted a Mazda5, but it seems all Mazda3/5/6's of this generation quickly crumble into a pile of rust after a few western NY winters.

Yup, this. The U.S. has a very low bar for what is considered bike infrastructure. Four feet of bike lane painted green? Great. I’m still sharing the road with 5,000 pounds of metal passing me going 50 MPH.

Road/street design is also responsible for encouring speeding (often unconsciously on the driver’s part). In the US, we have wide, straight lanes that signals to drivers “this is safe! I can go fast!”. Better road design means introducing friction such as fewer lanes, smaller lanes, and visual barriers (trees, pinch

Oh I definitely adhere to the no-phone-while-watching mantra. To clarify, I started watching Midsommar in the morning, got about an hour in, and then had to go to work. I have to watch movies in 2-3 chunks these days due to my schedule.

I’m in the middle of watching this movie. Thanks for spoiling it.

Pretty much.

The last slide refers to “Plant-Based Foods” as a failure in progress. I assume they’re referring to lab-engineered “meat” products. Pretty low-effort poster to match the quality of the rest of the museum.

Yes to everything you said, except we have an 2023 EV. It’s been a fantastic car, and Level 2 charging is more than fast enough for our needs. Heck, we used Level 1 charging all winter (in western NY) and it did fine for us. Only needed to use public charging a few times for a quick boost.

I still love a good headphone jack because I can plug in to multiple non-bluetooth devices (car stereo, home stereo, on-ear headphones, etc). And I love an expandable storage option. I’m the target audience for a phone like this.

Yup--these episodes were great!

This is some Looper-level shit right here.

There was an entertaining article in Sport Compact Car magazine about this. I believe it was written around the time the Ford Excursion came out; the author opined how lethal it was when fully loaded with passengers compared to a stripped down Civic, and yet they were both beholden to the same speed limit.

Love “Not Just Bikes”. Can’t wait to watch this one.

Assuming the dealer didn’t sell a trade out from under them, it doesn’t sound like they were worse-off after they lost the new car than before; otherwise, they could have just gone back to what they were driving.

Shout out to 18-year-old Acuras! I’m keeping my TSX until it dies or I die. Whichever comes first.

The best way to fix this is to figure out which artists are on those playlists and then support those artists by buying their music. That might be a tall order, so maybe you can find a comp or two with a similar aesthetic and just purchase that. Then listen to those purchases in a different non-Spotify app. You’ll

Thank you for posting this. Bandcamp for life! Or at least until Epic ruins a good thing. In which case...
