While I don’t disagree with the premise, the example of cameras seems kind of misleading since I’d wager the majority of people buying cameras today are photographers/hobbyists who are happy to pay for nicer ones. Cameras were pretty common for average people to own a couple decades ago, but smartphones have turned

I think you mistakenly included FICA in your estimates for federal taxes - FICA is not something that can be credited. To be able to get the full $7500 back on a tax credit you would need to be over $67k single or $92k married (and have no other deductions) to have the taxes needed to fully use the credit.

Isn’t that exactly what leasing is supposed to be for? When I was younger, I didn’t understand it (who wants to make payments on a car, then after a few years, they come and take the car after you’ve paid into it?), but now I get that, if you want to drive the latest/ safest/ reliable car, that leasing provides a way

Rates are up, Payments are up, and length of loan is up.

A rail line should never intersect with a roads or pedestrians. It should be in a tunnel or elevated.

The USA can barely even define what should be called ahigh speed” rail because anything faster 110 is considered high speed by our standards. Our trains are basically just for cargo, and a lot of people hell bent on keeping it that way.

But sure, a website says no, so I guess that’s how it works.”

Sounds like your business is not profitable enough. Gotta pull yourself up by your bootstraps Matt. This is a free market.

If you have to pay shit wages to make your buisness model work then maybe you need a different business model.

The seller can’t be bothered to clean out snack bag and seat cover that appears to sporting a butt crack sweat stain to take more flattering pictures of the car? I am all out and grossed out. No Dice.

You’re right. I missed that (should’ve read it better).

Thinking something was afoot, the Johnsons ignored the dealer. But the dealer retaliated and sent a tow truck to repossess the SUV.

I bought new cars in 2008 (Fit), 2012 (VW TDI, sold the Fit because wife needed an auto for knee issues), 2016 (GTI, because VW was giving them away thanks to Dieselgate), and 2018 (GLC300...TDI buyback). In every case, my dealer loans were under 2% and better than what my bank could give me.  Credit is 800+.

Similar experience for me - early ‘90s - Saturn of El Cajon...

Yet another reason that I drive a 18 year old Acura that I paid off 15 years ago.

You can TASTE the contempt. I love it.

Hmm, this concept of offering what someone deserves instead of what they requested intrigues me. If he rejects a Lexus because it’s just a fancy Toyota and he can’t stand the idea of his family and their au pair sitting in something that close to being common, then I would fully agree that he deserves something that

What an extraordinarily ignorant view on children and parenting. This may sound shocking, but tiny children often behave very differently from each other, regardless of the parenting method.
